I took my ram out of my computer and put it in my friends computer and it wouldn't post in his first slot either. I tried re seating the CPU it didn't help much.

I've been having a problem with my computer having freezing and studdering in games and when navigating the system. restarting usually fixes the issue for a short time. i also cant post the computer using my first ram slot which confuses me. maybe a Mobo issue or a cpu or socket issue? Just need help narrowing the search for the problem. For a few months I have gotten freezing and studdering mid gameplay. I have also noticed I can't post my computer using my 1st ram slot. Maybe a motherboard issue or a CPU issue? My temps always stay below 60C. I am so confused maybe someone can help me narrow my search.
