Everyone is talking about next year like the Summer Sprint doesn’t exist!  I need to start planning for that 😉. 

Cheers all, that was fun. Really didn't need to be folding on some of the hot Aussie days we had, but it was a good shake down for a new computer I built for my kids for Christmas - it's all nicely run in for them now 🙂

Thank you everyone, I had a blast. Really close to 25m so my PC is gonna fold just a bit longer then takes a well deserved break. 🙂

tbh if i folded 24/7 i would have been much higher up.
but i was folding 12 hours a day.
just due to Florida weather and a 1960s house

I fold 24/7 and will continue to do so for the coming months due to Berlin weather and a 1900s house.

Its gotten really quiet, I can actually hear what I'm watching on the TV again.
 
Cursed 2080 blower card, I wasn't going to use it for that very reason but then I got all competitive.
 
And now anxiously watching to see if the 5950X still locks up at idle, as that was the rest of the background noise.

I've still got 3 WUs wrapping up, but here's what I've got. Not bad for a first time, I hope?

Sorry for the delay in this, I got stoned and started listening to Lo-Fi and lost track of time. That is, we are over, yes there is a mix up with the end date so a show of goodwill we are reducing the min days requirement down to 19, so no one misses out due to my mistake 
 
Thank you all for everything you've done this year, honestly I am truly humbled at the great number of people who joined us for this event. Wanting to help others with no direct reward to themselves is a most noble pursuit and one worth celebrating. So have a beer, a smoke, or hell have what may be your first real gaming session in 5 weeks tonight, because you have done yourselves proud.

actually you can often see slight fps change but huge productivity uplift in hardware,
also 3080 vs 3080ti isn't just, 1000+ more shaders.
 
the most I can quickly gather is,
3080ti has:
1000+ more shading units
20+ more ROPS
16 more TMUS
2GB more VRAM
12 more SM units
48 more Tensor cores
12 more RT cores
1MB more L2 cache
64bit higher memobry bus width

We get penalised because were on the variable tariff due to mum not being able to deal with direct debits for variable amounts each quarter.
 
They really milk disabled people who can't mess around with switching tariffs every 5 seconds.

All I know is I am letting off the reigns a little to give @GOTSpectrum a chance to catch up with his expensive electric 🙂

My last bill was about the same as the one before (under $100), but I know the next one's going to rise by about $100 because the folding setup is drawing 840 watts at 16c/kwh. That would be a wash if my place still had resistive electric heat, but I had an air source heat pump installed a few years ago and it draws a fraction of the power for the same effective output.
 
Also, fun fact: it's going to take more electricity to fold on those two servers for a month than it does to fully charge my car every day for 30 days. (But apparently "the grid can't handle EVs".🙄)
