  1. Yeah I guess it is something like this but it only happens to the background, never to the foreground. Sadly it makes it look like the background is a lower quality video than the foreground. On my phone the issue is not there at all so it looks like it is depending on the screen.
  2. So, I just watched the "How not to fix things" video. While the host is really clear and the background has really weird artifacts. Now, my screen is always not very good with dark areas (ASUS ROG Strix G713QR Laptop Screen) but this was never as pronounced as in the GameLinked Background. Trying to screenshot it shows the issue a little bit but in reality it is way more present: Youtube settings: This wavy pattern happens everywhere in the replaced green screen background (In dark but also in light areas) but never in the foreground (Even in the dark foreground areas it is not present). So while the green screen cutout is pretty much perfect without any green ghosting or "wobbly" edges these artifacts break the perfect illusion. My conclusion: I love GameLinked and it's content. If anyone would ask me how to improve the production quality of the GameLinked videos I would answer "fix these artifacts".
  3. Learning to code is not hard and if you are interested in coding I would highly recommend learning it. Coding for money however is something I cannot recommend. There are so many issues that start popping up when you work for someone else: You cannot program just what you like You must make sure your code does not break anything the customer is using already like other modules etc. You must make sure the code is not breaching any security protocols the customer might have You must debug the code properly You must document the code You must be able to predict the time needed to complete your task You must stick to deadlines You must be able to make a realistic offer to the customer There is just so much more than just coding to making money with coding. My suggestion: Learn to code if you are interested and if you keep it up you can make a lot of money with it after a few years but find another, quicker way to finance your rig.
  4. The machine doesn't matter. You could start programming on pretty much anything. I got myself a nice gaming laptop when I started my computer sciences studies and through I noticed it's just totally overkill to carry that around all the time and now I use a Pixel C tablet (with the keyboard attached) ever since.
  5. A properly installed case is grounded. You could even put a live wire straight from the outlet to the case and it would only trigger the earth leakage protection switch if you have one (and probably leave a mark on the case). Static or infact any electricity you would find in a normal household shouldn't damage any properly installed PC components when applied to the case because it discharges through the case to the power supply's case and from there to ground. Only when working on the components themselves you have to worry about static because a discharge might go straight through the components. If you however get an electric shock from a device connected to the mains every time that device might have an issue with grounding. Any device with a metal case shall have the case grounded. To check if it is a grounding issue just take a piece of wire and connect the case of the device to something grounded like your PC case or a foucet. If it stops shocking you when grounded it's a grounding issue. If it doesn't stop then you are just building a lot of static energy in your flat/house. If it is a grounding issue you should have it repaired in a repair shop or throw it away because you shouldn't be working on the mains side of any device yourself.
