That was my one of my questions.

Do you want the box to transcode for you or do you want it to be a file hoster and the devices in question do the work?

Keep in mind only the PAID version of plex allows gpu transcode. On the free it is only CPU transcode.

If you do not want it to transcode it will just be a media library. Basically as if the file is on the device itself and it's just playing it back.

As for can a igpu do it? Totally. People have done 4+ 4k transcodes on a intel hd630 igpu. Aka a EXTREMELY low end gpu by todays standard. For comparison a 3090 is 5000% faster. A gt 1030 is even twice as fast. It's a super low end gpu BUT it is plenty enough to do the job.

Jellyfin is a alternative to plex and is fully free. It allows gpu transcode as is. It has gotten a lot of work done to it in the last little while due to people moving away from plex as it has gotten worse and worse.

For local streaming network speed will not be an issue.

For streaming over the internet upload speed may be an issue but with a 1 gig connection that is literally a non issue.

If curious I did end up going with the HiFiman Edition XS. I love it can't complain so far. I also did get a Modmic Wireless, thanks for the information, you guys.

buy all of them and see which one you like the best then return the ones you don't like. Audio is one of those things that really differs from person to person.

between the 3 of these if you can power them the edition XS is my favorte sounding. but as stated everything differs form person to person. all 3 are pretty great for gaming the sundara and edition XS is better they have wider sound stages. pretty good imaging, and exceptional layering. so placing people in FPS is pretty easy. but even when it comes to single player games it adds plenty to immersion.   the GSx 1000 is a Really a weak DAC/amp and the sundara and edition XS definitely require way more power. if you can afford to spend another $110 for a schiit magni 3+ a sundara or edition xs will be a great choice but if you prefer to save money the pc 38x is also a great headset especially for gaming.

There are other options you can look into that the GSX  1000 will be able to power

Didn't realize you already bought that board, when I read that I thought that you were planning on buying that board and figured you could always change build directions to go for an AMD system if that ends up being the better option.

Out of the CPUs you listed, ignore the 12900K unless it's significantly cheaper than the 13700K. The 13700K is just better in every way. Between the 13700K and 13900K, that's a bit more of a debate. Realistically for what you're doing a 13700K will be just fine, especially if you put a mild overclock on it. The extra E Cores could come in handy on the 13900K, but at that point you might be better off waiting a month for the Ryzen 7950X3D if you're gonna be spending that much and want a top of the line gaming/workstation CPU.

Imagine an AMP/DAC as being a decent external soundcard that requires no additional drivers or software to work and imagine it provides a clean and strong signal for the headphones or the headset.
It's not that it makes the sound better, it just allows (most) headphones to sound closer to the best they can than a regular onboard audio solution (integrated soundcard).
Also, it's not that streamers need those (streamers usually use audio interfaces; those are like a AMP/DAC that has microphone imputs and other additional stuff), it's that everyone who treasures good audio from their decent headphones should use a decent amp/dac or separate amp and dac units.

Lucky gamer here, so I have rare opportunity to get either the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3090 OC or the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 XC3 ULTRA at MSRPs (EVGA queue for one and the Newegg shuffle for the other). So I was wondering is one better than the other (I assume it probably comes down to cooling, noise and temps since their both 3090s) when it comes to performance, so I want to get some opinions between the two, thanks in advance.

Seems liek to cooler of XC3 is better than the one in Gaming OC's

They'll perform pretty equivalently, but having used both Gigabyte and EVGA cards recently, I'd say get the EVGA because the Precision X1 tunning and monitoring software is much nicer and more stable than the Gigabyte Aorus engine software.

I may get the same GPU and I picked the R 7 5800X.
It will just game at first and when it does productivity cuda will do the hard work so more cores are not necessary.

I also have Intel 6,8, and 10 core Intel CPUs and 8 seams enough and more cores sometimes get in the way.

I use 120hz 4k TVs for gaming so my goal is 4k 120hz and the R 9 5800X and my i9 10900k can feed those frames to the GPU in most games but there are no GPUs that can do the fames yet and the 3090s will just get me closer.

I suggest 5900x but you think 5800x is good then go for it.

I don't consider at match a big issue. With the pricing of things now leapfrogging upgrades makes sense.

I think the issue will be putting it in your case. The 20 series used 120mm radiators so they were not that had to fit. The 30 series use a 240mm radiators.
My case already has a 360mm AIO on the top for the CPU. Putting it in front may restricted air to the parts that are not water cooled.
That is what is stopping me hitting the autonotify button on one.

Oh, yeah.  I'd definitely recommend some good 3600MHz RAM.  Buy what you can afford with the lowest timings.  Also, something like a 4000MHz kit with low timings if you don't mind tuning the kit yourself.  Which is not difficult.

i think you're fine and you don't need to upgrade. you won't gain more than 5% increase in fps (and that's if youre CPU limited) from faster ram, and you'll only benefit from 32GB if you're actually using it. unless you're playing very heavily modded games, you shouldn't need 32gb.

If your motherboard supports 3600MHz, then get that. You don't need 32 GBs of RAM unless you're doing some video editing or recording.
