I would not tamper with the PSU since it can be dangerous I would leave the housing on for max security also opening it voids your warranty which is important on a PSU

I would strongly suggest a 1TB SSD but if you insist on an HDD, I'd get a WD Blue. For the love of god, avoid Seagate drives if you at all care about the data on it.

Not on its own it didn't. I assume its using GPT, it sounds like the main partition on the drive is corrupted but the boot/recovery partitions remain intact.
Best thing to do is boot into a Linux live environment using something like Ubuntu, fire up GParted and see how that reads the drive. If you take a screenshot of GParted we should be able to tell you exactly what is happening.

Did you get the phone up or is it like gone we need context, if you got it up and it's the ocean well the phone doesn't do good with salt try rice for a good while but it might just might be gone

as long as you have a case thats good enough there is really no reason to change cases at all.

I would get it last truthfully. You can run your PC without a case externally on your motherboard box while you wait for it to come in and then install it into the case once it arrives.

Go ATX unless you really need that minimal look, don't cheap out on motherboard or PSU case neither, don't do to much thermal paste, build on the motherboard box, don't put on side panel nor route cables before you know it works

You can upload videos/images there to embed on the forum for example.
I used it in the past for embedding images I shared here, but nowadays I just use the attachment option (drag a file to a post/paste a image)
