  1. If you have a ton of games then yea having a bit more storage will help. I have a 2TB SSD that I put all of my games on though I don't have a giant steam library. You could just start with the 2TB SSD and if that isn't enough space then go buy a HDD to add to the system but it really comes down to what you use your computer for. All in all, if I was you. I would start with a 2tb SSD because I like the fast load times. Especially on city skylines and Cyberpunk
  2. Hey guys, I just got my Steam deck a month ago. I am trying to play Halo Infinite, but it keeps on crashing. I tried verifying files, forcing the compatibility proton to 8.0v and the other versions, and it still crashes. What have you done to get it to work? Any ideas??
  3. I think it's a solid build. If I was building this I would want to put an air cooler on it for more silent operation which you could pick up a pretty decent one for 50$ but a stock cooler will do just fine. To each their own.
  4. Have you tried uninstalling the drivers then, turning off the computer then back on so windows can try and reinstall driver?
  5. @Soumil Did you clear the CMOS? Disassembling and reassembling wouldn't reset the CMOS. You will either have a jumper on the motherboard or there will be a little battery on the motherboard you can take out and then hold the power button for about 10 seconds. Make sure the PSU switch is in the OFF position aka the O side pushed down when doing this step. EDIT: also make sure to tag people in this chat or we don't see the reply!
  6. I had something like this happen to me too! In Apex or csgo my frames would TANK, and I was dumbfounded. I looked at my task manager, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary(which is something I would suggest doing as well, maybe something is running in the background). It turns out I got a virus, I'm not saying it's the same in your case, but maybe something to check using malwarebytes. Make sure drivers are up to date on both the GPU and CPU, make sure other things aren't running in the background causing these issues is where I may start.
  7. we can see fans are spinning, so at least it's not completely dead. Maybe reseat the GPU and Reset CMOS? That would be a start if you already haven't. Let's get the cheap steps out of the way first before we have to get more expensive! Good Luck!
  8. the intel build is cheaper but I would put the ram from the AMD build into the intel build and I think you would be good and also the intel stock cooler kind of sucks compared to AMD's included cooler so I would go with an evo 212 which is like 40$ or an air cooler of your choice going with the intel build. The amd build I wouldn't bother upgrading it at this point.
  9. The extra Vram will be nice, i looked at a couple articles of people that use unity, most of them say 6 gigs of vram minimum. Recommending a 3060 but also emphasizing on a good CPU with good single core performance which the 5600x does have. In my opinion I think the 1080ti will be fine for now with the budget you have.
  10. You may be able to get a 3080 used for around 500$ as well and that would put you at around 1800$ for the build.
  11. I know linus did a video on windows sleep mode and I wonder if the logic there is what may be causing the issue. I will look into it more!
  12. I think your best bet will be looking at reviews for each machine. A lot of them have similar specs but I do think the Gigabyte is the newest and best option for the money. You are getting 12th gen CPU where some of the laptops are 10th gen. It also has the most amount of ram and largest SSD size. I know you already have a ssd and more ram but they may have more slots to add the ssd and ram.
  13. I have seen some 2060 supers go for 200$ where I am at or even a GTX 1080. Just make sure you look at PSU recommendations for those cards if you need to upgrade your PSU or not.
  14. Hey guys, I have been having issues with M.2 slot 2 disconnecting when woken up from sleep. I have all my games on this M.2 so I notice it right away when I try to launch a game it says "install?" when I know its installed. I restart the PC and boom the M.2 is back and no data is lost. Drivers are updated, I haven't reseated the M.2 but I don't think that's the issue. Its been working just fine for months and now all of the sudden this issue is showing up. Any ideas? My parts: Asus b550-f WD black 2tb in m.2 slot 1 WD black 1tb in m.2 slot 2 6tb HDD Ryzen 7 3700x EVGA 3080 FTW3 1000w corsair PSU 32 gigs of ram 3600mhz
  15. There are new drivers but you typically don't update them until you start having issues, but for a new build you always update everything to the latest MB, GPU and CPU drivers.
