  1. oh i can definitely wait, as i said im just planning ahead, so i can know what to get and how much ill need to be worth it. yeah at some point ill replace the hdds, but thats a second though. just checked the 6800 xt nvidia equivalent is the 3080 which is 840 :S so i guess amd is the way, at least for my budget would a better plan be to go for a 3090-4060-4070 for example + psu and upgrade the cpu down the road ? EDIT: ill also check locally, i found a MSI GeForce® RTX 4070 12GB Gaming X Trio for 800
  2. i mean starfield is coming in 3 months, i doubt ill be able to run it at 60 fps on high settings....so thats why i thought i should know the upgrades i need for modern games and plan accordingly. My pc was a small beast when it was built, but its old gen now
  3. thanks for the quick reply. hmm i think it should be around 1000-1500 max if i reaaaally stretch it. so lets assume 1200 euros to be sure Doing amazon is good, although i must search on European amazons, since if i order from us, like newegg, i ll probably pay import fees! But its good to know the items i need, so i can research the prices! Like i thought, seems the cpu is my biggest problem. May i ask why amg gpu ? is nvidia bad at mid range now ? I also notice, you didnt upgrade my psu. you think its gonna be ok with cpu+gpu upgrade ? Oh also i forgot to mention, i got 6+1 im not using deepcool fans on my case, which should easily carry over to the new case
  4. Hi there! Todays new game trailers got me thinking. Is it time for an upgrade? Location: Europe Case: Deepcool Matrexx 55 Mesh add-rgb 4f CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 Esports Duo Red RAM: RipjawsV 16GB DDR4-3200MHz 16 CAS Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC GPU: MSI 2070 Super Gaming x Trio PSU: Corsair TX650M Storage: Kingston A2000 1TB nvme, WD Blue 4TB 5400rpm, WD Blue 320gb 5400rpm, WB Blue 1TB 5400rpm, WB Blue 6TB 5400rpm Monitor: AOC 24g2u/bk Ill be honest, no budget yet, its just a thought. Starfield is definitely gonna be a heavy game and the way the graphics are nowadays, almost everything is gonna look good going forwards, thats why im not sure my system can survive 2023-2024 and beyond The target is of course gaming, 1080p/60 fps minimum at high settings minimum So far, although i havent played the heaviest titles like Cyberpunk, i havent encountered any issues, besides some fans ramping every now and then. But my gpu is 2 gen old by now and my cpu even more. What do i MUST upgrade ? Do i keep anything besides peripherals/storage ? Even though i dont have a budget lets go with a small upgrade (wont be getting a 4090 any time soon for example) Any suggestions so i can plan ahead ? I know i definitely want a new case, this one doesnt have space for my hdds and has some problems in general
  5. thanks for the info mate! i guess the mobo is my weak link? full specs btw Case: Deepcool Matrexx 55 Mesh add-rgb 4f CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 Esports Duo Red RAM: RipjawsV 16GB DDR4-3200MHz 16 CAS Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC GPU: MSI 2070 Super Gaming x Trio PSU: Corsair TX650M Storage: Kingston A2000 1TB nvme, WD Blue 4TB 5400rpm, 2x WD blue 320gb 7200rpm, WB blue 1TB 5400rpm Monitor: AOC 24g2u/bk[/color]
  6. oh i didnt realize the motherboard also had a limit!, so unless i change mobo, even when i change my cpu, is to stick with 3200?
  7. I build my pc last year and it has a R5 3600 paired with a plain G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 at 3200mhz I was thinking going at 32gb at some point(basically getting another 16gb of my ram), but since i dont reaaaally need 32gb now, i thought perhaps i should invest in better, faster and of course rgb ram So i was looking at G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB DDR4 at 4000mhz, which actually is way cheaper than i imagined. a) will it automatically cap at 3200 for my cpu? b) should i invest in 4000mhz with the planning that i upgrade my cpu in a year or two or leave ram alone and upgrade only when i get a better cpu? (thinking getting that ram now, only because there will probably be a price drop for black Friday) c)should i just wait for a cpu upgrade first? got a b450 gaming pro carbon ac which apparently supports ryzen 7 and 9 series(although i guess i would also need a psu upgrade)
  8. thanks for the info, ill look into ARGB when its time for an upgrade
  9. they need a 12V RGB Header so i guess plain RGB? so basically all the connections/software are ok, i just need ARGB fans?
  10. Hi there, not sure if this is the correct topic to post, but since it said RGB on the description i though id ask What makes RGB fans getting a different color? Are there specific fans that can do that, is it depended on the motherboard, the software or the connection? Im using Deepcool RF 120M fans 4 connected in one mobo port and 3 on another one. i can change the individual color of those two ports, but not on each fan (ex i can have the 4 being red and the 3 being blue) So im curious if its the fans that are low budget, which they were, and thats why i cant change them, if its premium fans that only do that or if i messed up the installation. Newbie here, first build, any help is appreciated :D
  11. honestly i havent tried that, but if it was my pcs problem, should it be ok when connected to the ps4?
  12. Suddenly, i have one black line on the bottom right, taskbar height, of my screen. After one day of noticing the lines became two! I tried screenshotting it, so i can post it here and the lines arent visible!! So im thinking my monitor might have a problem, 10 months after buying it. Any idea? I send an email to AOC and waiting for a reply. Its a AOC 24G2U/BK Btw i have already tried 2 different hdmi cable, connecting to ps4 and reinstalling gpu drivers
  13. wow i did not realize how wrong my hands were. you are right, my elbow rests 1-3cm before the end of the table. i guess i should lower the area my hand rests
  14. Hey there, here is a question for you. The wood on my desk, is kinda hard for my elbow. Sometimes, especially after long gaming sessions, it feels weird. Any idea of what kind of fabric or something i can use to "dress" the desk?
