So I first got this computer when I was on work placement in 2018 now I want to use it mainly for gaming and at times solidworks and AUTO CAD. Due to the programs I needed to run at the time I didn't need to use a good Graphics card so I wasn't allowed to get one.
I'm hoping all I need to upgrade is my graphics card however, I have no idea what I'm doing hence why i need some advice.
Budget (including currency): £ 1 800 max however, i want to be sensible
Country: England
Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Ideally i want to be able to play any game smoothly. sometimes I use AUTOCAD & Solidworks
Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):
:- Current PC I hope this is enough information
CPU: QUAD 3.80 GHz Intel Core i5 - 7600K
GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 630
RAM : 16GB
Hard Drive: 2TB SSD
Motherboard: MSI 2270 GAMING M6 AC
Screens: 1 maybe 2 in the future
Can I get away with just upgrading the graphics card ? If so what type of graphics can would be good to get that wont cost the earth ? Also if I need to upgrade anything else what would you recommend ? Finally, where would a good website be to buy these parts from ?
Thank you all for taking the time reading this, it's really appreciated. Also apologies for any grammar or spelling mistakes I'm dyslexic .
