  1. Sorry on the late reply but it does seem that the i5 7600 is quite weak compared to other cpus especially against AMD as they seem to be taking over in the value part of it. I also think that yeah it is time to get an upgrade for your CPU the 1600 refresh (12nm), 2600 or 3600 are all good candidates for a good value cpu. I'd recommend having a look at benchmark videos with the parts that you will have/ planning to upgrade to and the video including the game(s) that you play/ plan to play.
  2. Alright thanks so much for all this help. Especially with the motherboard and the i5 7600 not being messed up or something. I think I'll end up getting the 2600. Thank you so much and have great night/day!
  3. Alright I think I will get the cheaper variant. Which CPU would you recommend for me to get for a consisten stable 144fps on fortnite? I feel like going for the 2600 would be a good option right now for its current price on amazon which seems pretty amazing. Also is this the 1600af you were talking? https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Processor-Wraith-Stealth-Cooler/dp/B07B41WS48/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=2600+amd&qid=1581328213&s=electronics&sr=1-1 https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Processor-Wraith-Stealth-Cooler/dp/B07XTQZJ28/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=1600af&qid=1584450499&s=electronics&sr=1-6
  4. Yeah I've already looked into getting a new motherboard, its turns out to be cheaper than upgrading to a better intel cpu even when I get a motherboard. I was planning to get this motherboard but I'm not sure if it would be the best. https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Performance-Gaming-Crossfire-Motherboard/dp/B07XHH4YG4/ref=pd_bxgy_3/139-7246520-4752450?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07XHH4YG4&pd_rd_r=f1436f2a-5029-4e12-bf2b-6dc88ed3e37c&pd_rd_w=dBUwL&pd_rd_wg=fRQ38&pf_rd_p=fd08095f-55ff-4a15-9b49-4a1a719225a9&pf_rd_r=YTMJB0GTH0T5NVGEV3GH&refRID=YTMJB0GTH0T5NVGEV3GH&th=1
  5. Damn that sucks because I am unable to get stable 144 fps in solos. I've done some research and I've found that Ryzen 5 2600 and 3600 are pretty good cpus for their price. Which would go better/ bottleneck less with gtx 1060 6gb on fortnite?
  6. Also I have a 144hz monitor so I have the fps cap on 144,
  7. Hello for a while now I have had 100% cpu usage while playing fortnite. I don't know how to fix it or if the cpu is just too weak. Specs: Ram - 16 GB 3700MHz CPU - i5 7600 Kaby Lake GPU - GTX 1060 6GB If there is anything that you need to ask, then ask away.
  8. Nvm I think the problem may be that kovaak 2.0 has fps drops and bugs and makes it extremely lagging sometimes. Also I was told enabling g-sync with the monitor I had would get rid of the screen tearing and it worked yesterday (you should find the thread if you look through my profile)
  9. Hello so I've been experiencing screen tearing for the past couple of days. I'll leave specs below if needed. Anyways so I have a 144hz monitor with free-sync, but I have g-sync enabled because I have a nvidia gpu. I cap my fps on 144 in kovaak. GPU: gtx 1060 6GB CPU: intel core i5-7600 RAM: 16GB MONITOR: G2460PF If there is anything else you need to know just ask. It's very frustrating to have screen tearing.
  10. The problem isn't just that I have bottle necking issues it's also that I can't run a smooth 144fps most of the game which means im not using the full potential of my monitor which is annoying and makes me feel like im missing out on a good experience. The gpu won't go up to 60-70% im pretty sure just because I will cap the fps cause it's not worth having it uncapped or much higher than the hz of my monitor. That's the main reason why I want to upgrade the cpu.
  11. Alright I see, I would just like to ask one more question which b450 'model' would be the best for me to get. I've had a look on amazon and there are a few different options (yes im from australia) and I'm not too sure on which would be the best choice. Also quick question would there be a better option 2600 or 3600 I may record videos or stream occasionally so would that change the choice? (least bottle necking would be optional obv) Thanks for the tonne of help
  12. Alright so basically if I want to upgrade to an i7 or not, amd is still the better option for both scenarios thank you for straightening that out for me.
  13. Alright thank you, I didn't know that intel cpus costed so much relative to amd. Thank you once again and have a great night/day
  14. Hello first of all thank you so much for telling me it was possible to turn of g-sync for some reason I thought it wasn't compatible and now I feel like a clown lol. I would just like to ask what you mean by starting on a new platform and if there would be any suggestions for that? Also you may have misunderstood me when I was talking about an upgrade to cpu I don't necessarily want to upgrade to an i7 I would just like to upgrade the cpu so it can keep up with the cpu. Like maybe going for a different i5 or maybe even i3? I'm not too sure though. Thanks once again
