    As I mentioned, I had the Recovery screen and the \Windows\system32\config\system file was missing and I was not able to find the issue, the problem wasnt the BSOD but rather it was the recovery screen that revealed my registry issue.

    Yes, I believe after further investigation it was actually a corrupt driver but I was not able to find any other instabilities so I still wasn't sure.

    After overclocking my 9900k for a while, one day I rebooted and was greeted by a bluescreen on startup, the message was IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, then all i got was 'Your PC or device needs to be repaired' I have resolved this issue by formatting one of my SSDs and reinstalling windows, I have been wondering if there was a different way around this event?
