Hi guys, I recently acquired a Gigabyte RTX 2070 and I am experiencing some serious bottle-necking issues because of my core i5 6600. I planned to get a better CPU but in the mean time I would like to overclock my actual cpu to get the best he can offer to me. I heard that the Non-K CPUs of the skylake generation can be overclocked by increasing the BCLK. I tried to increase mine and got my CPU running with a 102.500Mhz BLCK. Pushing the BCLK higher, even when pushing the Core Voltage higher too, did nothing but prevent the PC from booting. I already tried to tweak some options like disabling The CPU turbo, disabling or enabling CPU SVID support or synching all cores. Also tried to disable C-state stuff and set CPU LLC to level 5/7.
the core i5 6600 has a stock speed of 3,30Ghz an can turbo up to 3,60Ghz, do you guys think I can push my CPU to 4Ghz ? Can somebody help me in order to overclock a bit more my CPU ?
Let me know if you need more informations.
Thanks and have a nice day ! ?
