  1. I've overclocked it but i wanted to do it in the bios to keep down on the programs running on my computer i used 1 usmus ctr 2.0 just its another program running in the background i just want for people to see what they are actually buying if they plan to go with it cause in all the video's i watch they never actually used it for a while and when you do quite a few reviews of motherboards you end up skipping over things that should be told about this
  2. im not mad cause i didn't have the money you dont have the same view cause you didn't pay for it i did i spent my money and you may considered it ranting but if someone looks at buying this board the videos on it wont talk about the downsides of it i dont care if i look silly if i can say from my perspective about the problems i have with this board i will at least do it so some one else can come behind if the intend on buying one and say if its worth it to them or not and you dont have to believe me when i said i did my research that's your choice but i did so if you want to you can keep responding but i done responding to you as you seem to not understand anyone else's but your point of view
  3. I didn't have the money at the time i went from a job paying 8.75 an hour to 10 and I've found a way to buy it and what a lot of you are not understanding is i paid out of pocket for this what you may not consider a bad feature i do as i payed for it and out of my research this board was recommended at my price range i did my research but i figured out now i cant trust most of it as they didn't use it for an extended period of time they did some bench marks and looked at the board and recommended it you think i just looked at this board and called it a day i didn't i looked at all the budget boards this was the most recommended from that secondly i decided to spend more as it wasn't worth in my mind what i paid for it so yeah im paying almost double but i just dont like what i got from ASUS i understand where you come from but i dont come to the same conclusion as you, i loathe this board and im not staying with it
  4. it says 2 usb 3.1 mid board on the box and secondly I've tried overclocking in bios wouldn't let me also I've built a few computers this one has been done right some of my complaints about "extra features" add cost to a board that it doesn't need i have a 4000d airflow i cant use the usb type c on the front panel when the prime and most b550 motherboards have that connector also i couldnt possible use 8 drive as most cases dont have the space for them i.e. most of what people would buy and lastly until you have used the aura creator you would know how terrible it is, its just not a good piece of software and to do custom lighting you have to use it
  5. I like many others chose to go to Ryzen and most with the ability go with the x570 class of motherboards for its features and longevity so in researching I found what I thought to be a good product and that is the ASUS tuf gaming plus x570 and all the reviews said it was a good budget x570 so I believed them and bought it what ensued was not worth my money so to give some context I had a z270 prime-ar and it had its problems no doubt but I thought well its a new generation they probably have ironed out the kinks of the old stuff and they did but they released new problems and then some so lets get into the details of why I loathe this motherboard you cant overclock in the bios when all Ryzen's are unlocked its claim of dual usb 3.1 just means that the singe usb port can handle 2 usb ports running off of it (plus no type c header) its 8 sata ports will never be used in a gaming oriented system maybe a content creator but not a gamer its bios is basically the same from the z270 same font same background and same layout to control the rgb and fans you need ai suite 3 and Armory crate custom effects are by aura creator its hard to figure out and all of the effects are stuck on a five and a half minute timer so when it goes out all of your rgb goes off then turns back on why they did that i dont understand and there is nothing to have it automatically just repeat you have to use the timer system so you have to go to the base rgb software and try to find something that works if you bump you desk with it on it your computer will restart for some reason no joke never had this problem until I used this motherboard its chipset cooling fan is directly behind my graphics card which means that im heat soaking my chipset it has a ps2 legacy port on a $170 motherboard why that is wasted money and and io it has a 8+4for CPU power why you would do that on a $170 motherboard when all Ryzen's can be powered by a single 8 pin there is probably more but these are all the one that make me loathe this motherboard and I cant wait to replace it with a motherboard that isn't relying on positive first look reviews to say its good I wouldn't recommend this motherboard there is better options out there and its getting replaced as soon as I can possibly replace it that's my two cents on the ASUS tuf x570 gaming plus if you own this motherboard and have feedback for me or the motherboard I would love to know what you think of this motherboard
  6. i dont know if this has been answered yet but for the most part china has been quarantined to prevent from exposing the virus world wide but that includes imported good most parts will be on lock down until the quarantine is lifted some parts will be whats in stock is in stock some parts will be inflated because of this but as long as it blows over soon we should be fine
  7. theoretically you could with the right stuff but i wouldn't the pipes for a car radiator are like 3 inches in diameter and you would need a lot of pumps to get the water flowing at a decent pace also the fans on car rads are either on the engine or use proprietary plugs so having a fan controller on that, would take a while to get to work keep in mind this would take a lot of money considering that most car rads are dented to hell i thought of it to but i dont think any one wants to go through all that trouble for it
  8. i take apart any thing i can just for the fun of it i took apart two bad power supplies just for the fans and i have about a hundred random screws from when i took apart my alien ware area 51 7400 r4 "to improve thermals" when i just did it because im bored and most of the time i dont put it back together
  9. so I have an msi B250 PC MATE and it has a 5 pin connection with the code JTBT1 if you search that up you'll find things for thunderbolt add on card connector but on the dell optiplex gx280 there is a push switch that i'm assuming is the cut off if the case is opened https://www.ebay.com/i/282771704425 but its funny because the ports really never die just get reused for different purposes its the same 5 pin connector and everything just different uses and for those who are wondering the optiplex gx280 is from 2000 I dont fully know of the thunderbolt add on card tech for this but thats what its for PS. you cant use the switch in modern mother boards to add more security I've tried i wished it worked
  10. this works fine and my xfx rx 580 xxx works just fine it also was an old mining card
