  1. im probably gonna go with the 2070. if i can strech my budget a bit further ill go with the 2070 super.
  2. upgrading an hdd to an ssd might help alot, an ssd can load new areas faster, which will probably eliminate these issues. also an ssd will make your system feel alot quicker.
  3. those parts are pretty old, you should probably upgrade.
  4. i can afford a 2070 super, its a little more than i want to spend tho, is the regular 2070 still good? the 5700xt looks like a really good deal but i want to see ray tracing, so i need a nvidia gpu.
  5. ryzen 5 2600, 1080p 60hz monitor (might get a 4k or 1440p monitor after i upgrade), i play alot of AAA games.
  6. i think windows (im assuming you have windows 10) automatically detects if you have an intel or amd system and installs drivers for which one it is, windows probably is expecting an intel cpu but since you now have an amd cpu it doesnt know what to do and just bsods.
  7. im not sure about what gpu i should get, my budget is 450 dollars. current gpu is a gtx 970
  8. is 81°C normal for this gpu? exact gpu model: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Cooling-Graphics-04G-P4-3975-KR/dp/B00R3NK2LE/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=EVGA+GTX+970+ssc+acx+2.0+gaming&qid=1587757851&s=electronics&sr=1-1
  9. im gonna keep it on 3200 or 3000, so im getting the most out of my cpu, im not really having issues anymore and cpu benchmark scores seem to be higher so thanks for your help.
  10. 3600 put my system in a power on, and power off loop, making me take out my cmos battery and put it back in which was conveniently behind my graphics card 3466 prevented windows from booting properly and crashed my bios after 30 seconds, 3200 worked, havent tested if stable yet i havent changed my timings because the first one in my bios said 16 although cpuz said 18 was the first one and i was confused.
  11. i have a ryzen processor (r5 2600) and i know ram speed matters alot with ryzen but i only have 2666 mhz ram, i overclocked my ram to 3000 and didnt seem to have any issues, im wondering how far i can go with overclocking my ram. idk if this helps much but this is my ram: https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-Desktop-Gaming-BLS2K4G4D240FSB/dp/B06XJ8V229/
  12. i might go with a 2070 because of ray tracing, and im sure it will provide a great gaming experience on 1080p on ultra settings, and ill probably consider a higher resolution monitor when i have the budget for another upgrade
  13. I currently have a GTX 970 and its been great for a while until the past year i feel like its been slacking a little on newer games, (i play games at 1080p) im wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade. I dont have the greatest idea of how different cards stack up against eachother or how good value different ones are so i want some recommendations before i choose what gpu i get, i have a budget of 400-500 dollars so im wondering what the best card within that budget is. also im kinda interested in ray tracing but i have an even worse understanding of how different rtx cards compare in rtx games.
