Someone voicing their opinion (hey look, it's a popular enough opinion to have been noticed by now. trend?) Doesn't mean there's a significant drop in quality like you're talking about.

LTT has gone from bad jokes to worse jokes..constantly.

There is a noticeable trend that's a sour taste. Its gone from their thumbnails being meaningful to utter crap, they actually listened on that one and made them relevant to the topic of the video, if still in the over-stylized clickbait-esque design. Their editing has become less professional as a style. (Note, professional =/= cannot have fun) The videos are becoming more loud, over-edited cuts of not very information pieces.

its not? the vast majority of users use there PC's for light use/Gaming use and they have the same things in common. They don't multithread well. Intel CPU's have much higher IPC so benefit gamers more. If however you need to do rendering stuff then an 8350 is a cheap replacement for an I7 but the I7 will do the job better.

There used to be an argument about AMD being (better bang for buck) but its just not the case now. Both the I5 and 8000 series are the same price. No doubt somebody will make the argument that you can just OC the 8350 and match the I5 speeds.... yes you can but good luck doing that on a cheap AM3+ board thats not 990FX chipset (pushing you well over the price of an I5+Simple mobo)

Trust me its not worth it. I was an avid AMD fanody until I started looking at the numbers and noticing bottlenecks that were solved by replacing my 8350 @ 5ghz with an I7-4790K but I have no doubt an I5 would have the same impact.

Skitz also record gameplay for youtube,
With more cores he can have one or two cores working with the recording and the rest for the gaming
But it should not matter much anyways since the Xeon line is nice for recording and heavy loads.

If he simply buy another AM3+ CPU he wont have to buy a new motherboard.
And There is not any i7 or xeon CPU in the same pricerange.
The 8320 only costs about 140 bucks on amazon.
The performance Will be better, The 8 cores will give the CPU a longer lifetime since when games start using more and more cores the CPU wont seem to slow down as fast.
    EDIT: added a few things.

You can actually get the Visiontek R9 290 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GSQ1C5C for under $350 new. It's an excellent bargain. Visiontek isn't one of the most popular brands but it's a pretty solid card and by far the best price to performance option you have.

No more having to open up your case to change your pump speed and buying separate fan controllers. EK has taken a page out of Corsairs book and take it to the next level with their own ultimate watercooling software interface. This looks like a must have for any enthusiast that wants the highest level of control of their system. Imo this is amazing, with the exception of that hideous green pcb. What do you guys think?

It's running at about 3.3 so very mild OC I can push it past 4 but I prefer to keep my fans at 5V, for gaming it's fine and most of the cores go around 50-70% but my GPU is hardly the best (roughly 270 performance)

I have a 3960X and I am a huge Intel advocate. Here are the facts: in almost any game, you will not see a huge bottleneck by either the 4670K or the 8350.

If you want a bang-for-buck chip, the FX-8320 is indisputably one of the best.
If you want a high-performance per-thread quad-core chip, the 4670K is the way to go.
    If you want a high-performance per-thread hexa-core chip, pick yourself up a 4930K.

Where I live, in Australia, the difference in price between the FX-8320 and the 4670K is about $100 (about 35% cost). This price difference can be the difference between two graphics cards, and I can guarantee you that an 8320 with a $100 more expensive graphics card will beat out a 4670K.

It just depends on where your priorities are.

Sure, the 920 is a great little beast, especially compared to your Phenom, but I think it's old nonetheless. Wouldn't a 2600k be a better option, since you can up it to 3770k if you want later on? (I assume budget is the issue here?)
Just make sure it's a D0, like @BrightCandle said. Mine is a C0 and it can only hit 4.0 GHz with HT off or it's way too hot for my little Akasa. (95 deg C in prime95, 4.0 GHz, HT on). 3.8 is the highest acceptable frequency for mine.
