  1. That's not a bad plan I might do it or just let it gather dust.
  2. Ok I will look in getting a new card anyways cause i have warranty just in case something like this happens but I will put it away and one day if I can get it fixed as just one of those things you have money and can waste it type of situation just for some excitement.
  3. So i had a huge browning moment it ended up bricking my Hp RX480 4GB GPU i know the general location where it shorted out but don't know what has blown and trying to find a place that will fix computer components i don't want to spend so much that i waste money when i could have bought a new GPU and i don't want it so cheap it is baked in the oven and does more damage, this is a nice card that i got second hand and fits really well in small itx cases and has some room to move around and games really well at decent fps just CPU is bottleneck any places that will fix my GPU in the UK by a professional.
  4. i only added a second gpu for a second monitor cause im still waiting on a display adapter but after trying it out with my rx 480 by itself obs is still having the same problems as my 2 gpu rig with recording, it still shows major delay and stutters and even freezes on one scene and just with a single gpu it worse and audio is still fine it has no problems. and as such everything is up to date made sure of that.
  5. So i have two graphics cards, rx 480 4gb and a rx 550 2gb, and the latest version of obs. so i want my rx 480 to be the one to play games and the rx 550 2gb to be the one recording that should get load off the main gpu but as i try to record it is very laggy the audio will have no effect but the video being recorded will have major stutters and lags to sometimes freezes and won't change until i close it and running it as admin has no effect on it, the settings are put down so that it can handle it better but still has problems even trying to record and will have those framing issues, why is that? trying to find solutions on the internet only yields nvidia gpus and no amd gpu at all. is there a way to get both of them to work or just run on one gpu? Any help would be beneficial.
  6. So after some time waiting for assignment the GPU workload switching between compute and graphics engine there is a difference, the graphics engine does better as to what I can see compared to the compute engine which by the looks of it decreases performance for the folding on the GPU but may be different on the newer GPU running on the 12 nm or 7nm process on the compute or graphics engine.
  7. So I've got a server (hp proliant dl380 g7) and it's folding currently the CPU is at work and I know the folding can use multiple GPUs but can I have a amd graphics card and a Nvidia GPU with both drivers installed and run without problems and help with folding or is it not possible and this is solely for the folding project.
  8. So I started folding about two weeks ago on my server I have a Rx 550 GPU in it and I want to know the difference if any between the graphics or compute and will the compute function better in terms of workload or the graphics cause I can't find much Answers at all.
  9. that actually worked like a treat works at home just have to try it at college see if i can download it.
  10. So i don't know where to put this kind of subject so i will put it in servers and nas. So i have a Hp Proliant Dl380 G7 server that has 2 xeons l5630 CPU giving me a total of 8 cores 16 threads, have 16gb of ecc registered ddr3 ram (going to upgrade later) that is running windows 10 pro and a Rx 460 4gb to play games and have a spare GPU lying around which i might pop in later also has two 750 watts power supplies so got plenty of power. Is it possible to play games streaming from my server to a totally different machine on a different network in particular college without downloading an app that will block it if it seems to be a potential virus, without going and buying a cloud server that you can play but have to pay hourly. How can i set up my very own cloud gaming server that doesn't require an app to be downloaded and can be streamed to chrome without hassles or maybe logging in and then you can do whatever you want and also keep it protected if needed from any potential DDOS attackers or hackers.
  11. i just wanted to see if the Rx 570 can be water cooled as i saw a few blocks but very little information was said about on google and youtube as i thought they were fake and finding forums on this kind of stuff doesn't seem to exist. one of the posts the person says there is a block but it will cost more than my gpu i just want to do it for experimentation and fun as maybe a bit of diy and see what i can get for a budget but if it costs too much i will just go for all air cooled and upgrade gpu.
  12. i just wanted an aio cooler as i thought about a full loop but that would make it very hard to cool both a CPU and GPU in a very short space that might not work very effectively or at all so i looked for a case that is slightly bigger and i can see it somewhat fitting maybe have to do a bit of DIY on it and i just wanted to do it for fun and experimentation, but if it is too much i will just get a new gpu and just leave it to be air cooled. And it seems i can mark one as solved but technically both the two comments has solved it so yeah. sorry for late reply busy with college work.
  13. So i'm making a small compact computer and i want to minimise as much space without compromising on the cooling this is going to be a budget computer that is portable. So is there currently a water block that will water cool the RX 570? If not what GPU has or supports a water block that fits? And any case recommended for a mini itx motherboard size and power-supply that has enough to supply the graphics card and the CPU as well as driving all the necessary components with enough power and water cooling the CPU without problems. Even if it has to air cool some parts like the CPU or something.
