Thank you all for heads up i was concerned that there could be cases where enormous sudden loads occur or some other hardware suddenly taxes the psu heavily thus the need to expand the wattage "breathing room" from 550 to 650.

First of all i have read the very helpfull "How many watts do i need" thread and have input my data in the outervision calculator:https://outervision.com/b/ifG8fi I am still not fully certain if the corsair cx 550w which is considered decent will be up to the task or if i should get the 650w version due to reading some comments that the amd rx cards have a tendency to spike and stuff. I dont plan on overclocking at all (minus the ram) and just looking for being able to coast by without worrying. Any help is appreciated

Is there an easy way to tell apart the old corcsair cx from the better 2017 version?

Thank you both for the heads up and i will probably sound weird for asking this but how such issues like: can be fixed when the product is allready out in the wild?

Question but how models like mwe v2 80+ who are not even bronze manage to be in the same tier as other products that even have gold certification?
