  1. I have been looking into a way to get into the realm of xlr mics and I think that I have settled on the rode podmic and the focusrite scarlett solo. Through my research I have ran into the problem of this dynamic microphone imputing a very quite connection and needing a large enough db of gain. The scarlett solo says it provides up to 56db but I'm not sure if this is enough. Alternatively there are condenser mics but sense I don't have any control over the sounds outside of my room they are a little out of the question. I just want to know if the gain provided by the scarlett solo would be enough for nice, clean audio, thanks.
  2. Thanks for the recommendation of interfaces, although out of budget, I can always weigh my options. I don't suppose you have any examples of these mics (mainly podmic) being used with the scarlett solo interface though so I can get an idea of what it will sound like. If not other recommendations for mics which would require lower gain would be nice.
  3. I want to see if I can't dabble in xlr audio and the Rode Podmic and Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) are two pieces of hardware I have kinda landed on. Since I know next to nothing about any serious audio, I have to ask, will these to things work will together. When I've been doing my research online I hear somethings about the Podmic being sort of quite and was curious if the Scarlett solo can handle that alright with its preamp.
  4. So any MSI motherboard can download/support mystic light and control things like a rgb gpu?
  5. Just a quick and easy question, does this MoBo, https://pcpartpicker.com/product/46CD4D/msi-b450m-pro-m2-v2-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b450m-pro-m2-v2, work with MSI mystic light. I want to have it work with the rgb on the MSI GTX 1660 super gaming x but idk if it supports. If not, what are my alternative for a board?
  6. I was looking at getting a NZXT case because of how sleek the red design looks and saw the H510i varient came with leds installed. They reffer to them as addressable leds so for on thing, are these argb? Then I also want to know how the fans and leds connect to the MoBo. Will I need a rgb header or is it usb, and does it all connect to the included Smart Device V2?
  7. I'm trying to help plan a build for my friend and in an effort to keep prices lower I was wondering what PSU anybody recommends for a radeon rx 5700 xt and ryzen 5 3600. I know you shouldn't cheap out on a PSU which is why I came here to get any opinions. I tend to overdue the wattage for what is needed but since this won't involve any overclocking and a straightforward build I wanted to see the recommended wattage, rating, and maybe specific models that are good. Lay down any ideas you got, thanks.
  8. I was looking at getting these, specifically the starter combo set. When I was reading reviews to see if they worked with my build; mystic light, my extra 12v rgb header, etc., I found a few people were saying there was a need for a 4-pin adapter or a splitter of some kind maybe to connect to the MoBo. My main question comes to this, will the set of LED strips, and the cord that accompany it, be enough to use with a MSI MoBo or is there a need for whatever $5 cord of some kind?

  10. I am currently trying to see what the fan header situation will be on my MoBo. I'm rolling with a MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC with 4 standard fan headers, 1 cpu fan header, and 1 pump header. Three of the standard fan headers are taken up by case fan and I need to know what headers to use for my AIO cooler. The Cooler Master ml240l has two fans connected by a y-splitter ad then a separate 3-pin connector for the pump. With these two fan connectors i need to find a home for, which of the three fan headers do I put them in?
  11. Thanks for the help, a learning experience for both of us for sure.
  12. I'm trying to figure out which type of rgb header the fans that come with the Phanteks p400a digital case connect into. I want to see if I can throw in some led strips into my upcoming build but I only have to headers left on the MoBo, one 4-pin and on 3-pin. I need to figure out which one won't get used. All I could find was that Phanteks called the fans digital-rgb which makes me believe the 3-pin header but I'm unsure, any ideas?
  13. Thank you, do you have any recommendations for an anti-static wrist strap?
