  1. A couple of days ago my Steam Deck and an Anker battery just broke. For the Steam Deck there was no warning and no action which took place beforehand that could be an obvious cause of the issue. I just one day unplugged the device from the official Steam Deck charger and it did not turn on. The charging indicator light does not do anything either. When I say the Deck broke it BROKE. Just to clarify, there were no signs of life from the console. A little after I noticed a similar story for the Anker battery. I tried to charge my phone with it but it just would not charge. Then, I noticed the batteries indicator lights would not do anything. Just like the Steam Deck, the battery also showed absolutely zero signs of life. So I began considering what may have caused the issue. Currently I have no solid conclusion, but it is possible that the Steam Deck Charger could be the cause as that is the primary charger I use for both devices. Except possibly not, as I use the same charger for my phone and my phone functions (for the most part). So I am at a loss here, my Steam Deck ran out of warranty so warranty is not an option. As for the Anker battery I have yet to see.
  2. Yeah I ran my phone through a sonic cleaner with over 90% isopropyl alcohol. The issue is still prevalent.
  3. Yeah I tried that, but it did not work unfortunately. I eventually just opened the phone and found corrosion, so at-least now I know what the issue is.
  4. Thank you so much for your response, do you think I should put my phones components (minus the battery and wireless charger) in my sonic cleaner?
  5. You can usually just type in CPU vs CPU and find useful info about it Like this https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-11400H-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-5800H/m1575224vsm1442974
  6. Last night I tried to turn my Samsung Galaxy S9 on, but instead of turning on like usual, it would just stay on the AT&T screen. After maybe over 10 minutes the phone would shut off and then turn itself back on and the cycle would continue. I wasted a couple hours of my night, browsing the web and wiping the cache partition. Those didn't work, but then randomly on one attempt my phone turned on, and everything was working. My phone was at low battery and died soon after, and in the morning the issue had started happening again when I tried to turn my phone on. I am able to use the volume up + Bixby key + power key to boot into recovery mode. Some important things I can do is updating from ADB or an SD card, and I can reboot to boot-loader. Before this happened I had gotten a bit of water on my phone and the speakers made a terrible garbling noise whenever sound was played. What can I do to solve this? I would also like to backup my data, before proceeding with anything if possible.
  7. For a couple of days now the wireless internet has been inconsistent and sometimes hasn't been working at all. The internet itself is fine because Ethernet is working. Its just the wireless which was having issues. After a while I decided to reset the router, the router I have is the Night Hawk R8000. But its important to note that I have tomato firmware installed on it. After I reset the router I tried to log into it using the default logins so I can configure the router. But when I tried using the default logins of admin/@Newdig it didn't work, none of the logins I tried worked. I need your help to get access to the router or to get it into a configurable state.
  8. Seems reasonable, what's inconvenient is that the board I'm working with has metal guards over the chips. Which makes it hard to access them. I tried my best to clean corrosion, and got everything I could see.
  9. I just did a repair on my sisters Note 9. The repair was for water damage which, admittedly may have been my fault. I followed a guide to try to fix the phone. Good news it works enough to turn on when plugged in. The bad news is that the phone thinks its overheating when it clearly isn't. I cant boot into safe mode since the warning is so quick to show. There haven't been many resources I can point to online to help me with this. Also a battery isn't installed since I don't have a fresh one to use. Thank you for your time. UPDATE: Sorry I have taken a while to update this. As it turns out the issue was with the wireless charging. The wireless charger part has a temperature sensor on it, I didn't have it plugged in which meant the phone couldn't read temperatures. The phone is fixed now.
  10. I now know alot. Yay.

The scary one for me is the more a person learns the more one realizes how little they actually know.  As a circle widens it’s circumference increases.  Learning makes the world a stranger place.

  11. For me I inserted it into my video cards rgb slot. Now the card is able to have the same config as the case. Other than that I cant help with much. Whats your motherboard model?
