  1. OK. to start I have had an ongoing ticket with Oculus support about how to resolve this issue, so far no help. I have tried YouTube and reddit suggestions and still running into several issues. firstly I had discovered that my Oculus would fail the "headset sensor check" with ram by G.Skill. then going back to the Corsair Vengeance I was able to get past that section of setup. Now I am in an issue where all I see is a black screen with 3 dots blinking. If I look down I can see the 2 controllers and it can track their orientation but not their position. Sometimes I got lucky and got to the guardian setup with passthrough working but then 30 seconds later it would go to static and the tracking would break again. I have been running the Oculus software in debug console view to see what's happening. ; With the G.Skill ram it would encounter an error (Host_ERROR) : Camera was unplugged with the Corsair it would never have this error so most likely it would seem some hardware would not be compatible with the Rift S. ; I have all the drivers up to date, I have tried a USB 3.0 PCIE card and when I try that it gets an error in setup "Sensors cant track headset" trust me I have been trying. I have done it all if you think. ; -Before this issue I bought the headset back in 2019 December and it worked with no issues. ever since about September 12th it has been having the initial issue of failing to track headset with the G.Skill RAM. Just Yesterday October 7th that I first went to BestBuy to get my free replacement to make sure it wasn't the Headset, then changed out the ram back to the original Corsair. ; Does Anyone have any Ideas as to how to resolve this issue? ; PC Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x 8-core | 16-processor GPU: MSI AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8gb 2133mhz (The other ram that I took out to get working was G.Skill 2x8gb 3000 mhz) Motherboard: ASRock B450M Pro-D OS: Windows 10 ;
  2. Specs: Motherboard: ASRock B-450m Pro-d Micro ATX CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x 8 core Ram: Corrsair Vengence 2133MHZ 2x8GB GPU: MSI RX 5500 XT 8GB Gaming X PSU: EVGA 650W 80+ Bronze Storage: 2xWD HardDisk drives Sata Notes: The CPU,GPU,PSU, and motherboard are all new and about 1 month old. the Ram and Storage is about 5-7 years old. Issue: Every now and then My pc experiences a blue screen of death. so far ever since I did a driver update for the GPU the display issue has been resolved but a new error has been poping up. the pc will flash the blue screen of death for 5 seconds then reboot. Most when i get a glimmer at it it says something about a processing error. I am starting to think I may need to change the ram maybe because of its frequency being the lowest supported for the cpu. I was also wondering if maybe it would be better to be using and ssd or an m.2 drive for the windows files just to be safe since the hard-drives are about 5-7 years old. Extra addition: Here is the error message that was logged at the time of the blue-screen today. all i was doing on the pc was playing some music through my stereo system. it has marked these instances as Critical. -A problem has occurred with one or more user-mode drivers and the hosting process has been terminated. This may temporarily interrupt your ability to access the devices. -The device HID-compliant headset (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 5 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem. Any ways to please solve this please help, it has become a huge issue because I will be in the middle of a google meet class and randomly disconnect and crash. its come to a point where it is affecting my academic's.
  3. Will the 650W PSU be able to handle also the load of the GPU and CPU?
  4. The concern I have is will it work normally and not encounter and issues. Considering the board uses PCie3.0 and the GPU uses PCie4.0 will the different PCie variants effect its ability to work, I know if it does the performance of the GPU will be lower but will it work if I hook this card up and launch a game.
  5. Currently I had a plan to upgrade to a MSI Radeon RX 5500 XT Gaming X Dual-Fan 8GB GDDR6 PCIe 4.0 Video Card for my build but I am worried that the compatibility of the CPU and motherboard will not work with this GPU. PC Specs: Motherboard: ASRock B450M PRO-4 Micro ATX CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x 8-core At 3.70 GHz Memory: 2x8 Gb Corsair Vengence LPX at 2133 MHz PSU: Unknown manufacturer 400W(upgrading to EVGA 80+ bronze 650W on same day of purchase for GPU) My only concern is that the Motherboard uses PCie3.0 and the GPU uses 4.0.
  6. Pc Build Specs: Motherboard: B450m Micro ATX CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x 8-core GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 1050 ti 4gb Memory: 2x8 gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2133mhz PSU: 400W Currently the CPU runs stable at base clock of 3.7 ghz, but once I set it to Ryzen masters preset profile of 4.0 ghz, it crashes(once under load). I don’t get a blue screen, the pc just goes to black then boots up/restarts as normal, like the pc just restarted itself. I am still testing to find out and I am down to either it being a Temperature issue or power issue. It runs at a max of 50*C when under load at base, I have not seen it go above that temp. If anyone has any idea as to what is my issue, Please comment and let me know on how to possible resolve this issue.
  7. Thank for the suggestion, I am currently planning on order an Intel Core i5 6600k cpu. Currently after doing some monitoring, my cpu goes to 100% when anything VR related runs, the GPU spikes to about 80-100% depending on what’s happening. Beat Saber is one that’s a little finicky as they had an update recently that now creates a studded randomly, it’s rare for the studded to happen but when it does, usually I see my CPU and GPU spike to 100%. I’ve also found a MSI RTX 2060 that had improved specs from the GTX 1060 gb with a lower price I was interested in. My only concern now is if the cpu I’m planning on ordering will be able to handle the video card.
  8. I was interested if anyone had any recommendations for a system upgrade for cpu and gpu? Current system: Motherboard: Msi B150m Pro-D CPU: Intel i5 6400 4 core 2.70 GHz Locked GPU: Msi GeForce Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti 4gb Memory: 2x8 Corsair 2333 MHz CPU Cooler: stock fan that came with Intel i5 6400 cpu I am currently able to run VR in steam vr using the Oculus Rift S Pavlov, Beat Saber, and Rolling Line are so far stable DCS world, Derail Valley currently are experiencing some performances restitutions. Derail Valley the most having issues.
