SNES4Life reacted to Jacktastic-Mofo in EVGA GTX 750 2GB $59.99 (USD)
That'd be an awesome combo even if you have a shitty PSU this thing doesn't even use any external power- and if you do check out my last post- EVGA has their amazing 600B PSU for only 10$.

Different people have different budgets, if you don't like the thread maybe don't click on it?

SNES4Life reacted to JamGorby in Would this make sense? (EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti)
Even if there was some bottlenecking, the card is still a good deal at $70 provided it's in good condition. Vastly more powerful than your APU.

Yes, it will help your performance significantly. I don't think it'll bottleneck.

I'd update and make sure you downloaded the right version of your AMD graphics driver, mantle is part of the AMD driver.

Thank you sir. I did a quick research and saw those memes too. Just when i thought Linus tech tips was a good community, i run into these kind of things. I kinda figured that was bad. lol but thanks man!

I'd sell for $300, but $260 is fine for a friend.
CPU: 120
Mobo: 40
230W PSU: 20
Case: 20
Ram: 12GB !?!?!?! I think you meant 2? If so, $20
HDD: $30 for a small Sata.
So, brand new, that system would be $220-250 to build.

Thank you so much! Got it!

If you can't get the fan removed from the cpu heatsink to mount it on the other side, just take the case fan and turn that one around.
That should be possible, 4 screws and job done, but it's not optimal because it will probably suck dusty air into the case.

Thanks for the quick feedback! I have to agree with you! I looked at the 2013/2014 but i couldn't justify getting it because of price and not enough storage. i still want to run bootcamp and I feel with the SSD that comes with it is just too small

SNES4Life got a reaction from CowsGoRoar in AMD A10 6800K
thanks and prior to this, i did some research and i see that the 7750 is the best card that will "integrate" with my APU. How will that setup be compared to the 7870 with my APU. Any thoughts on that vs the 7870?

SNES4Life reacted to Opcode in AMD A10 6800K
The HD 7870 will be a huge improvement for gaming. I have the A10-6800k and a HD 5870 paired together (HD 5870 equals roughly a HD 7850). The only bottlenecks I get is in poorly threaded games. I believe in BF3 single player I was getting a steady 90 FPS @ 1600x900 I believe on high preset. So you should be able to run games like BF4 @ 1080p on high settings with that setup no problem.
Not worth it, the single HD 7870 will blow the dual graphics setup away big time.

Yes, the 7870 is a great choice and will be a lot faster than the integrated GPU in your APU. You should get it, $120 is a great deal!

If you're buying it for the original price, then no, but $120 is a great deal and won't be too much to lose if it breaks. I would definitely buy it. Make sure your PSU has enough wattage though.
