The video connectors on the motherboard only work if your processor has integrated graphics and you enable the integrated graphics from BIOS.
The Ryzen 3600 does NOT have an integrated graphics so you can't connect anything to the video connectors on the motherboard IO shield. You must connect everything to the dedicated video card.

THe motherboard may take up to a minute or so the first time it starts with new CPU and memory. It may also reset itself several times and after that it should start and run fine.

Make sure you installed the cpu power cable (either 4 pin or 8 pin eps cable, 8 pin is highly recommended) and make sure the video card is also powered with its own pci-e 6 pin or 8 pin cable.

Look in the motherboard manual to see where to install the two memory sticks, you should install them with an empty slot between them, and on most motherboards it's recommended to install the memory sticks in the slots further away from the socket (but in real world it makes very little difference)

do you have your monitor cable connected to the gpu? do you have power cables from the psu to your gpu? do you have your ram in slots 2 and 4?

I'm not talking about RGB, there are 4 LEDs on your motherboard above the 24Pin connector, they're labeled as Boot/VGA/DRAM/CPU, when you power on your system pay attention to what the LEDs get stuck on and it would tell you the problem, for example if it gets stuck on DRAM then you would know that your RAM is the issue.

if you press the power button and nothing happens you have a power problem

check your power supply is turned on
check your power button is plugged into motherboard
check your power supply cables are firmly connected to motherboard (both 24pin and 8 pin)

recheck all components are seated properly

if everything else fails test with a new power supply

That board does have the BIOS flashback feature, so you can use a USB stick to update the BIOS if you happen to get a mainboard that is a little older and not updated.

Might be a good idea to have the BIOS update ready in a flash drive just in case it isn't updated when you build the system, but it shouldn't be hard to update either way.

Windows installs the default drivers already but it is recommended to go to the manufacturers website and download the drivers there. Main thing you need is the Audio , lan and chipset.

I was just answering your questions.

Follow this link to download your motherboard drivers. If you need to install drivers for your motherboard just go to the manufacturers website and lookup your motherboard to install the drivers. All I typed in google was "motherboard update drivers for msi b450" and it gave me this link.

    Hope this helps!

Easily the Gigabyte Gaming OC version, this has the best cooling.
The normal Gigabyte OC version has heatsink fins that run along the length of the card which makes for  terrible heat dissopation, and the Ventus has an aluminium block with some heatpipes as a heatsink, this will probably cool terribly.

mainly the brand of the GPU comes down to personal preferance. some may have better cooling, some may be quieter, some may perform a little better, different ways of overclocking, the look of the Graphics card backplate + heatsink. etc etc.

i dont think it makes alot of a differance from my experiance,

i would reccomend watching a video review on each, and then making a pick.
they might all have slightly different performance, but it wont be anything largely noticable.

Should be good to go then, it's quite a solid build. Hopefully you upgrade the RAM sooner rather than later, but until then, you should look up how to overclock infinity fabric. It can improve performance plenty.

i would reccomend using 2 sticks of ram, due to the fact most motherboards use dual channel. if you use single channel you will not get the full potential, and using "8gb" in single channel would not hold up in modern titles. 2x4 is alot better then 1x8, but i would reccomend 2x8, especially with how cheap memory is getting

Sounds like you're making a new build. Perhaps consider posting your budget and proposed build list in the new builds and planning subforum?

Or just turn this thread into a build list and the mods will move it for you.

Mid towers easily accomodate atx, some even e-atx (larger).

Theres hardly big towers anymore because midtowers are roomy enough (esp decent ones) and the days of racks of large hdds in desktops are mostly over (ssds are much smaller and capacity has grown).

An ATX mid tower will fit an ATX motherboard. Full Tower cases (if you're sorting on pcpartpicker.com) are super expensive anyway so there's no point.
