  1. Hi This is my first post here not sure if it fits retro kit (the case is ) but is also a build... This is a google album with a retro fit of a fairly retro system. It's my 2nd build ever, last one was in the athlon 2600 days -- so go easy ! https://photos.app.goo.gl/izcNajbWbiBTHQES7 Attached is a teaser image. The pics aren't all that good actually kit list is: Asus geforce dual 1060 ASUS P7P55D SOCKET 1156 i5 750 Crucial DDR3 12G Corsair 550W PSU A kingston 60G SSD. corsair aio cooler 2x120mm rad. For me it wasn't about getting a balling rig, as much as repurposing the case. This is way better over the i3 and asus turks graphics card I got for free. I have a newer CPU (i7 something) in the post. PS - It's running Ubuntu and minecraft so it's actually overkill for this used case use case It was also a way to get my Daughter into computer building rather than just playing. She helped with a bunch of the smaller tasks (memory, putting in the standoffs - taping up the huge cuts I made in the case. I wanted to add a big acrylic sheet to the side to give an inside view. I'm not so sure now as I actually like the monolithic look of this case. and the only rgb is on the corsair. If the new CPU doesn't need much cooling I might sell the AiO on and just get a conventional nice noctua or something. I couldn't get this i5 to get any hotter than 41C with a stress test. So i'm not sure if the water cooling is overkill. It's the most expensive bit of the build. I was going to get a custom water cooling kit dead cheap (linus' banggood water cooling video) but I didn't fancy all the fiddling about.
