invisiblesquid got a reaction from inund8 in LTT Wall Mat
Hand washed my Northern Lights desk mat in the tub because I didn't want to throw it in the washer machine. Squeegee'd out the water, and noticed it held itself to the shower wall. It's dry now, and still stuck quite well

invisiblesquid reacted to Jisagi in Qualcomm Atheros wifi adapter into MSI MoBo
As long as the mainboard can handle M.2 A+E key cards, sure. I am not sure if those fit into a normal M.2 slot though or if there are add-in cards for these.

I believe only if they have an M.2 slot specifically designed for WiFi. At best in a normal M.2 slot you might get WiFi but not Bluetooth, as it won't have USB support.
I can't tell which model card that is either, so if you need a full PCIe adapter for it, you might be better off just getting a proper PCIe WiFi adapter.

invisiblesquid reacted to kirashi in Fresh windows install on MSI laptop
If the laptop came with Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 preinstalled, your Windows key is embedded in the BIOS. If it came with Windows 7, the key will be on a sticker on the bottom. Either way, you should be able to install Windows 10 on an SSD in the laptop as it should still activate using any of the aforementioned licenses.

Before you do the switch, make sure you have a copy of the Windows Media Creation tool to make a Windows installer on a Flash drive or DVDRW disk.
When you do switch out the SSD, the bottle neck will change from the HDD to the CPU or RAM, depending on how old the hardware is. Not that this will cause any problems, just don't expect the power and speed of a brand new rig.
All things concidered, you shouldn't have any issues. Just make sure that you don't end up with a deactivated Windows 10.
