  1. Maybe I’ll try BIOS update but I can’t even lower the Ram frequency. It’s stuck at 2133 and I can’t change it to 1866 or 1600 for ex.
  2. So this is mostly just an issue with the CPU? I’ll give 2666 a try in the morning.
  3. Build is: MSI b450m pro-VDH max Ryzen 5 1600 XFX Radeon 5700XT Thicc III whatever 4x 4GB Viper Patriot 3000mhz RAM corsair 650w PSU Samsung 970(?) SSD tried enabling XMP/amp and using those profiles and neither actually changed the speed. Also tried manually changing the speed, voltage, etc.. and nothing was actually doing anything. It would save as settings but nothing reflected that. BIOS has not been flashed but everything boots fine so I didn’t think it needed to be. Thanks in advance.
  4. Is there a way to preserve my current windows installation now that I already have everything installed and updated again?
  5. If I unplugged the old drive an ran startup repair would that work?
  6. Now that that train has left the station what else could I do instead?
  7. I have a new SSD that I installed windows onto. I am ready to completely wipe my old SSD and just use it as backup storage. The old SSD, D: has an EFI and a Recovery partition on it, while my C: does not. What is the best way to go about adding an EFI and Recovery partition to my C: and removing it from my D:, and then completely wiping D: and replacing with one singular partition? Also to be clear, I am booting to windows boot manager every time I start my PC and the D: has an entire windows installation on it and I can actually boot from this drive to go back to my old windows from literally earlier today. This is my disk management :
  8. So I should just use the XMP profile that overvolts the DRAM the motherboard has already?
  9. What does overvolting DRAM or RAM do as well, I have my RAM set to it’s clock speed (3200), and my XMP profile had the DRAM voltage set from 1.15 or something like that to 1.35v, could I do this?
  10. I just really didn't know what other brands were actually decent products
  11. Budget (including currency): 110 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cooling my CPU Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have an asrock b450m pro4 + ryzen 9 3900x, I'm not the best with judging clearances and stuff like this but the NH-D15 says its 140mm, and the case has a 150mm clearance if I understand. So it should fit right? https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NH-D15-chromax-Black-Dual-Tower-Cooler/dp/B07Y87YHRH/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=Y0GKAIR6LBRZ&keywords=noctua+nh-d15&qid=1674422154&s=industrial&sprefix=noctua%2Cindustrial%2C100&sr=1-2-spons&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.f5122f16-c3e8-4386-bf32-63e904010ad0&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFWUzg4QlVTMjhPWjQmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAxOTkyMDEzQjFWREpZRUI1VjUxJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAzOTAxMDQyU0lIR0lFVk5VVzdTJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
  12. Is this indicative of something to do with my network or a different situation all together? I can see this light from the inside of my PC case as well.
  13. What would you say is a good cost effective alternative? Would I okay to continue with this setup until I find a replacement?
  14. I have the following: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X + Wraith w/e cooler B450 Pro4 ASRock rx 6700xt 4x 8gb ram 1TB SSD My PSU is a Corsair CV650 which I believe is 80 bronze
  15. Budget (including currency): preferably less than 350 USD Country: United States of America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: No rendering, just gaming and schoolwork that only requires a browser. League of Legends, Diablo 2-4 (on launch), Elden Ring, Minecraft etc.. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have 2 monitors that are both 1080p, a radeon 5700xt which may be upgraded in the future but it serves its purpose as is, a ryzen 9 3900x, and a 650w corsair psu Current mobo is an asrock b450 pro4
  16. And by critique I mean if there is anything you would be concerned about or I should swap out for something else.

  19. Recently, System and some WsApp have been taking up a shit ton of disk space at random times, when I play Assassin's Creed especially. The Registry also does it sometimes as well, but then I was just playing a game of League, my computer was running a bit slow but whatever and then everything froze, I could still hear discord in the background but they couldn't hear me, then my monitors went black but I could still see my mouse, one came back on then both went black again. After that my secondary monitor had nothing but a baby blue screen and my primary was off, then both turned off, then back on and off again, then my mouse and keyboard both spent a while turning on and off, then everything shut off while my fans were still running and my PC just went to boot and startup as if nothing happened.
  20. at 0% load I sit at 41' C, but with just google chrome and discord open I'm hovering between 45 and 60' C It's foreign and I don't know anything about it, and I'm not interested in exploring liquid cooling when air cooling works just as well, if not better.
  21. I just don't want to get familiar with it or anything like that as far as liquid cooling goes. I'd rather just stick to air. I'm from the US.
  22. I haven't taken the case's side off, it's closed. I don't care too much about case design, but the game on ultra high settings was pretty much the same heat, and in about the same amount of time so I feel like it's just cooling issue.
