While it has served me well and for a long time, it struggles to keep up solid frames for competitive gameplay on my 144 Hz monitor. So I'm looking to upgrade my system to be able to play games like PUBG at high and relatively stable frame rates, while hopefully replacing as few parts as possible. I do have a few questions on this however:
My original idea was to buy an i3 9100F, but I saw that my motherboard is apparently not compatible with it. Can anyone tell me why this is? Do I have to upgrade my motherboard if I want to buy this (great value) processor?
I'm also strongly considering buying a GTX 1070 Founders Edition from my friend for around 190-200 EUR. I think it's a good price, my only concern is that it may be too loud, as my PC stands right next to me.
My total budget for upgrading I would put around 300-400 EUR.
Any help in answering some or all of these questions would be much appreciated.
Thanks
