Hello,
I'm having crashes with my config, just as the title says. This occurs when playing, often when I do a ALT TAB then go back to the game, or when I just loaded in a new zone.
I have a RTX 2060 super which isn't overheating (72°C under load I think)
An i7 5820k which WAS OC to 4.5Ghz, but I did a clear CMOS because of this matter
MB is an MSI X99A raider
And the PSU is a seasonic focus gold plus 750w something like this, it's pretty new and shouldn't be the problem
+ the usual
So I've searched around the internet and found some people having the same problem, they are being told it could be :
- The PSU, but mine is pretty new, high quality and has more than enough power
- A PSU cable not well connected, I unplugged it, replugged it on both sides and I even used another one
- The GPU, could be a defective GPU but it has been working fine since last august and just started crashing recently ...
- Drivers but I did a rollback to the november ones and still get crashes
- Motherboard, mine is old and X99 isn't known for it's reliability... what do you think ?
- Windows 10 updates .... I don't really know how to roll back updates and which ones should I remove, also windows update doesn't seem to like when I uninstall updates ... I uninstalled one then rebooted the computer just to see it installed again '-'
I can run a OCCT "PSU" test without problems apparently so that's why I think it could be software but I don't really know ....
Do you have any idea ?
