Special limited edition processor. Basically the same, just smaller, less powerful, makes a lot more noise and comes with a white PCB.

Hey there. The CORSAIR K70 seems to have five switch options available, below are their characteristics as advertised by the Cherry MX site. Your actual mileage may vary, of course.
Cherry MX Blue: Clicky. Audible click, no tactile bump. Cherry MX Brown: Tactile. No audible click, has tactile bump. Cherry MX Red: Linear. No audible click, no tactile bump. Cherry MX Silent: Linear. No audible click, no tactile bump. Quieter than Reds. Cherry MX Speed: Linear. No audible click, no tactile bump. Actuates 'faster' (less distance) than Reds. My personal preference? Don't particularly like the sound of clickys, I'm a linear sort of person. Also, haven't actually tried Cherry MX switches before, but I've heard that while their products used to be good, their batches nowadays are kinda scratchy?

If you're up for a bit of reading, sowon's written some opinions on the Cherry MX Blues, Cherry MX Browns, and Cherry MX Blacks. Note that her MX Red review seems to be based off Gateron Reds, not Cherry MX Reds (I think).

I would wait until the AMD Ryzen 5 3100X and B550 motherboards are available to purchase, and then add them to this build.

The Ryzen 3 3100X is going to retail for $100, and then you can try to find a good $70 motherboard for it.

Pretty sure it's DRAM-less, but I believe it has a real SLC cache as it's the phison S13 controller, so random I/O is better than most DRAM-Less drives.

    Look at the review herehttps://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/team-group-mp33-m2-nvme-ssd

Its a pretty decent budget ssd, no dram, but shouldn't matter for desktop uses.

DRAM matters much less with HMB, and its a reasonble budget ssd, so if the price is right go for it

    find_better_name_later got a reaction from BiG StroOnZ in ADVICE NEEDED - I7 9700K VS RYZEN 7 3800X
If you go AMD, you would need to pick up a discrete graphics card, as Ryzen 7 and 9 do not have integrated graphics.
However, the i7-9700k has integrated graphics.

You could use a 3700x instead of a 3800x and use some of the $130 you save in getting a cheap graphics card just for a video output. The 3700x can be overclocked to match the performance of the 3800x, since you have a good cooler.

I wouldn't buy the i7-9700k because it is more expensive than the 3700x, and not as powerful.

you can get the 3700x and overclock it to reach the same performance as the 3800x. it will turn out cheaper and more powerful for editing than the intel cpu due to multithreading.

There is a Ryzen 5 1600 AF (12 nm) for $85 that you can buy. You probably would want to replace the Wraith Stealth stock cooler with something a bit better.

You would get an increase in performance with higher speed memory, maybe something that runs at 3600 mhz.

A lot of people like the Phanteks eclipse p300a mesh case. You should probably watch a review of it to see if you like it before purchasing.

I don't know much about this motherboard, so I cannot help you about that.

If you scroll to the bottom of the Nvidia spec sheet for the 2070 super : https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/rtx-2070-super/#specs , it says that they recommend at least a 650 watt psu. I would also try to get an 80+ gold certified psu.

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 AF (cooler is probably not sufficient)
    Phanteks Eclipse P300a mesh

The Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro gives you the option for using wifi, so I would choose that.
When going to LAN parties, wireless internet is usually useful.
