  1. Just tried it, no luck. Our settings are already identical besides the IP's, his ends in .28 and mine in .58. Tried to change it to something different but the DNS server shuts me out completely unless it's .58.
  2. And where would I find these settings to put into windows? Sorry for the stupid questions, I'm terrible at networks in general.
  3. Alright, the ping was unsuccessful. How would I go around setting an IP in the same network? Like, what settings and such?
  4. Title explains it. Two days ago, mine and my brother's internet just kinda stopped working out of nowhere. His fixed itself after an hour, mine's still not working after 2 days. I've tried releasing and renewing my IP, switching ports around, a whole lot of crap. Not really sure where to go from here. When I go to IPconfig /all, this is what it reads. I'm not sure why it shows tunneling or VPN software, I've never had either of those installed. OS is Windows 10, using a Realtek ethernet adapter on a Gigabyte GA-B85m-DS3H. wat do
  5. I'd give a DasKeyboard Ultimate 4 to my brother, Oliver, who types stories in his freetime. He has a bad habit of looking down at his keys as he types, and he keeps trying to get rid of it. He's currently rocking a NMB RT8256CW+ keyboard, which is pictured below. He complains about how it double-presses and misses keystrokes often, so I think this would brighten it up. As far as I'm aware of, it's plug-and-play with the Daskeyboard, which is great because plugging in a USB device is about as tech-savvy as he gets. EDIT: Oops, forgot Amazon link. Here you go. http://www.amazon.com/Das-Keyboard-4-Ultimate-Clicky/dp/B00JKQSGWE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1449455490&sr=8-3&keywords=Das+keyboard+ultimate
  6. so my phoenix pro ssd died, and along with it went my copy of windows 8.1. i have a spare hard drive that works 100%. I didn't have a bootable usb of windows 8.1 on me so I asked my buddy to make one for me which he did. (Or rather, he put it on an SD card and is using an SD card reader for USB, shouldn't make a difference right?) every time I turn on the machine with the bootable SD in, it gets to the post screen, but I get no beep and the options do not show up to get to bios. unplug it and it posts fine, able to access the bios fine. What do I do? I've set it to boot from USB devices when available, so it should be booting from the SD... right?
  7. Dude I like. Not sure if I like Vessel so much, but I think we'll get used to it. Username: Baer Favorite videos: https://www.vessel.com/videos/G-DUjgUyY and: https://www.vessel.com/videos/DkWN4qqW1 EDIT: Actually take away the first one, I hadn't watched your hard pipe build guide. Holy shit that's amazing. https://www.vessel.com/videos/JYZEYDYx0wins also wtf why are you giving away linus's personal rig??? I'm hella interested.
  8. Yeah I dunno. The little thing is running at full tilt and I don't have any games running. It handled League of Legends fine though, so I think it'll be okay for now.
  9. So a little back story. My brother and I both have our own PC's, his specs until today were an Intel Core 2 Duo E6400, 4GB RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti. (Don't ask about why it's so unbalanced, we got basically all of our parts for free.) My specs were an Intel Core 2 Duo E8200, 7GB RAM(1x4+3x1), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760. I used to have a GTX 260. My brother and I were given a PC which we stripped for parts. The system had a total TDP of about 100-120 watts, and an 850 Watt PSU. My brother insisted he kept the PSU, fine, no biggie. At the time I had a GT 210. Later, my buddy gave me his GTX 260. I "borrowed" my brother's PSU and gave him mine, both systems ran just fine. Now that christmas has come along, he recently got an AMD FX-6300 Black Edition and a Gigabyte 78LMT-USB-3 and 8GB RAM. His system required 8-pin CPU power while the PSU he was using only had 4. I gave him back his PSU and am using mine at the moment. So my questions are: 1) With my specs, would 350 Watts work for a while or do I risk damaging something? 2) Would his PC boot with the 350 Watt PSU, even though it only has 4 CPU power pins? His specs in case I wasn't clear: AMD FX-6300 Black Edition GeForce GTX 750Ti 8GB RAM Mine: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 GeForce GTX 760 7GB RAM
  10. My lack of cable managment, the broken CPU fan that only runs at one speed and one volume, loud and slow, the wonky VGA to DVI adapter, the 5.25 inch bays I took a hammer to to fit the GTX 260 into my not so good HP Pavillion a6157c case, my 7GB of DDR2 RAM.. the whole system is an embarassment and I love it to death.
  11. You guys got me into this hobby, never looked back! You got a long-time viewer who's here to stay!
