Hi,
I have been given my friends old gaming PC as I was wanting to get back into the scene after around a 10 year hiatus since I last built my own rig. This PC he said he originally built back in 2015 however whilst it seems to run basic games (CS:GO, Rocket league, League of legends) quite comfortably, I was hoping to upgrade/ salvage anything I can from it so that I can play newer games more comfortably and in better detail. I have always preferred management style sims and really like the look of planet zoo and planet coaster however I feel I would have to invest in order to get the most out of these games.
Whilst i'm unsure exactly what hardware the system has at the minute I have attached screenshots of the interior along with the specs that systemrequirementlab.com told me it has. In terms of storage I believe it has a couple of 1TB hard drives and a 200gb SSD which is running the OS and Steam.
I have a budget of around £500 to spend so hopefully someone can help me out and point me in the right direction! From the videos I have watched on LTT youtube and from a bit of googling the Ryzen 5 3600 seems the way to go with a CPU however after this I feel a bit lost seen as I am now completely out of the loop of current hardware.
Thank you for any help you can offer me and if there are any details I have not mentioned then I will do my best to find out! ?
