  1. Ah okay. I don't actually need such a powerful laptop like then one mentioned here. However. I will be sure to take a browse through the ThinkPad models
  2. Hi everyone, I am Meowster's friend. He let me borrow his account for me to post my question. Do you guys recommend Lenovo laptops? I'm currently looking for a thin and lightweight laptop and Lenovo keeps popping up. If any of you have one, what does it feel like? Is it fast and how's the build quality on them? I currently own an Asus chromebook and I wanted to switch back to windows for a while now. I can't really live with a chromebook, I only got one as I needed a temporary computer. Thanks
  3. 2014 Volvo V40 D2. Currently done 77,791 miles.
  4. At work now. Its quite boring but fun at the same time

150 Dell Latitudes came in today and I have to image them all so that they're ready for our company's employees

  5. I had a really lucky find today!

I found a 32 inch Sony Wega Engine LCD TV. It was being thrown out with media receiver and all remotes. The reason (at least I think) they threw it out was due to a stuck relay on the 16.5V line. It simply didn't have enough power and kept shutting off. Now, I replaced the relay and have myself a beautiful new living room TV with exceptional image quality. Thanks neighbor!

  6. Hope you guys like my new masterpiece! I made it in Paint 3D as I thought the previous one I had was getting old.

I'm talking about my profile pic

  7. An update on my rig.

If you go onto my profile on the forum here, you will most likely notice a potato pc. My old FX 8320 build is now moved... to my work! Yes, that's right, its at my work. So now I have a Pentium Gold G6400 build which is more than enough for me. I will still plan on gaming using another rig I built for myself. For the past few months I was doing my work remotely connecting to another server at work so I decided to setup my rig there. My friends at work promised to set it up there. And the GTX 1060 6GB is staying in there for now, for reasons I will disclose another time

This update was mostly just to let you know that I am very well bonded to any PC I build 🙂

  8. I guess I'll try your solution. I will keep waiting for the manufacturers reply
  9. The only thing I see is the GoodixTouchDriver which says GDIX1001. When I look at the actual HID compliant touch screen, it also says GDIX1001
  10. The trouble is, that there is no downloads section or support section. Just a customer support section, I've contacted them but in the meantime, I thought I'd try and fix it myself
  11. Asking for a friend: I have a GeoFlex laptop and I had to reinstall Windows due to a virus. The touch was working perfectly fine until the reinstall. Now, it wont detect the touches on the screen and sometimes has ghost touches ( random inputs without touching the screen ). This is what I see in device manage- please see attatched picture. Everything seems to be working fine. Maybe I just need a better driver? Please can someone help me? Thank you
  12. So I'm in work now, secretly writing to the LTT forum. They are all Intel server SSDs. Also, apparently I got a new work laptop!  Its a Dell XPS 13 9310 on the new Evo platform! Can't wait to use that too.

This legitimately sounds like a lot of fun.

depends on how many there are IMO.  I could see first like twenty-five or so being fun, but it sounds like pretty mindless labor that would get repetitive and boring pretty fast.

  15. Ah yes. I will keep that in mind. The display in her current one has a 1080p panel but its a horrible panel with terrible ghosting and poor viewing angles. Its a crappy LCD with horrible color. I don't know who still buys these garbage little laptops
  16. So originally the laptop shipped with 8.1 Home 64 bit. And it upgraded to Windows 10 Home 64 bit. And yes, in this laptop there is a Celeron N4000. I think the actual laptop solution might be the best here. But first, I'll try removing the windows.old thing.
  17. 2 years ago, my gran got herself a laptop with only 32GB of eMMC storage. It used to run windows 8.1 with no issue until it upgraded to windows 10. The thing is rendered useless and only has 998MB of free disk space for the user. This is ridiculous. And the worst part is- there is NOTHING on the laptop at all! No documents, photos or anything really. Just Chrome. She does all her stuff online (mostly youtube and knitting things etc, gran stuff) Is there a way to solve the issue? The laptop has a micro sd slot which claims it can handle up to 64GB cards.
  18. Well thanks @SavageNeo. It worked 1st try and didnt blow up (at least not yet)
  19. Thanks. However, do I plug the connector into the part to the left or right?
  20. It seems to be a Novatech branded PSU. To be more specific its a PowerStation 450. Could be an OEM maybe? I have never heard of Novatech before
  21. Well, Its an FSP Group 450W 80 Plus PSU. It was supposed to come with a 4 pin + 4 pin connector but it never did. It was found in my shed but works very well when I tried it with a test rig
  22. Slicing my hands and the front panel connectors. Man those things always slip out of my hands. And also, different power supplies. Like why can't we stick to 8 pin or 4 pin.
  23. So, my sister got herself an ASUS Prime H410M-A motherboard along with a Pentium Gold G6500. There is one problem. The PSU I gave her only has a 4 pin CPU power connector. Do I have to buy a new PSU with an 8 pin connector?
  24. Just install LineageOS or OMNI on your phone if its an android, but don't bother to install the google apps if you just want a phone that can call or send messages
