  1. i didn't have to use windirstat, i found the files in the temp folder. thanks for the help!
  2. already doing this, all it found was 6GBs and it was all from the windows update trash files so it certainly did not find the files that i extracted
  3. So I downloaded a pretty big file as a .zip file, and i extracted it. a few minutes later before it was done windows notified me saying i have a disk space issue and i was confused so i checked my space and i foudn that my C: drive was literally left with 20 Mbs of space and i didnt know what happened, then i came to realization that i extracted the big files in the wrong drive, the drive that didn't have enough space so then i tried the delete the files that i extracted (i extracted them in the desktop) and i found no files but it was still taking space. is there any way i can clean it? or delete it? please help.
  4. would probably go for the nvidia 2070 super cause of the features in it and the ray tracing, but not sure haha
  5. Alright so, I was playing around with php and stuff using local by flywheel and atom with firefox open obviously, I was using about 1.5 gb of ram while doing this stuff (I had some other stuff open), I decided to change my desktop background to something else I downloaded earlier, next thing you know, the desktop literally stops working and the settings for desktop aren't working, I can change anything in the settings except the desktop settings, I'm using lubuntu latest version, tried killing all processes and then restarting with init 1; init 3 but it didn't work. Sooooo, any ideas? (posted this in general discussions and didn't realize)

  7. Forgot to ask, should I go for 32-bit regardless?
  8. I'm thinking about switching to Linux, cause I have an old ass computer and very low end and a very irrelevant CPU, windows isn't working very well for me, i'm using windows 10 32-bit it just eats up a lot of ram and CPU even on IDLE, and I can't do much except browse the web which is probably the only thing I'll do but I just can't take it anymore, I love Linux and I know how to use it, I'll post a picture of my specs, and I don't have a GPU on it. It doesn't give me problems what-so-ever but I just don't want to keep using it. I know there are other flavours of Ubuntu but personally, Kubuntu is my favourite.
  9. Alright, if I ever need any help I'll let you know, thank you for you time!!!
  10. okay i'll try that thank you! what distro do i use though
  11. Ok so, a friend's pc started being slow on windows 7, so I suggested if I install windows 10 on her computer, she said to not remove windows 7 though cause it had some stuff she needed on it, so I dual booted it, it has been working fine for a couple of months now and she always gets a list of both systems so she could choose whether she wants to go on windows 7 or 10, now she doesn't get that list and it seems like there isn't even windows 7 on it anymore, any help? I also changed the boot drive 3 times, there are 2 partitions i tried both and both didn't work, and I tried the hidden system partition that takes up like 200 Mbs, and it booted me to windows 10. What do I do?
  12. i see, the thing is this didn't have an intel cpu it has another cpu brand which doesn't make anymore cpus, i'll probably try to find it and see if i can post it on the forum, idk if turbo buttons were only supported in intel cpus but yeah, we also have another pc i think that has a floppy disk drive but idk if it had that turbo button, even if it had a turbo button would you even think it would work nowaday? also in the 3 lights there is one that never turns on it has a lightning icon on it, idk if it has anything to do with this though
  13. what's a turbo button? i never heard of it in my life watching tech videos or even reading about tech stuff..
  14. also, if i couldn't take it to a local pc shop, is there a way to update it at home? like can i download the update and put it in a flash drive before i get the card or change my pc components?
