I will be uping her storage. After I replied I thought about it and realized all the more I have even 1TB for my PS4. I've also upgraded to the MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 after more carefully researching it. Your suggestions have been quite helpful thank you.

I planned to swap RAM kits out but forgot to remove one. The motherboard was chosen for having an HDMI output not form factor but would have liked to have used a Tomahawk as thats a highly recommended. As for RAM speeds will the 3200 need anything special to work properly or will the processor accept it without issue? As for storage I was considering uping it and am still on the fence about it but also see her filling as a training mechanism for PC maintenance.

I'll check into switching as I'm looking to learning overclocking and see that the 1600 af outperforms the 2600 after overclocking

Why Core i5? Also would something like this build Linus had be suitable possibly? I'm not trying to ignore your advice but I feel building it will help in developing an interest deeper than just games.

The case wouldn't be my first choice but I'm also doing a build for my daughter as well and this was one of only a few cases that came in pink so I added it in on mine for feedback to make sure it wasn't complete garbage. Speaking of which, if you were building a PC for a 6-year-old looking to play Minecraft, Roblox, and possibly "ugh" Fortnite what sort of set up would you recommend? I want to give her a solid set up that will get her started but feel it doesn't have to be 1080 and 60fps and such. I was thinking of downgrading the motherboard possibly the CPU to a Ryzen 3, less powerful graphics card and such.

Just 1080 gaming at 60 fps is pretty much my goal. VR ready would be nice.

I honestly thought I had a 550W not that that's what you recommended. I went with the 590 after looking at monitors and found G-Sync ones were way more than Freesync. Do they not really because I was going with a 1660 super before that

My country is the USA. As far as peripherals, monitor and O.S. go I'm not as worried about making a costly decision but will consider any suggestions but the budget is for the actual computer

I was looking at that as well but unknown brands make me nervous especially when I don't know what I'm checking for to make sure it's not a total rip off. Again, thank you. As for monitor and peripherals, I didn't bring it up in the post because A) I forgot and B) I wasn't as worried about choosing too badly there I'm still open to any suggestions

So I'm not only preparing to build my first PC it'll also be the first one I've owned. I'm planning two as well as I have a daughter who asked for one as a belated Xmas present. I'd like mine to run any game new and old. I'm not trying to hit max settings on Crysis 3 and the like but would like them playable. As for hers, her biggest demand is that Minecraft and Roblox play without issue and a pink case. I know I'm starting from scratch, but I hope to accomplish this with $1500 USD. I'm not completely illiterate with computers as I'm confident I could build two working PCs but likely done better. I had hoped to have Ryzen 5 in both but realize it might be unnecessary hence why I am here to consult with the community and build the best computers that fill my needs. I'm wanting upgradability and quality in mind on the parts list. I have a few parts in mind but am open to all suggestions.
