    Interestingly enough, there were warnings of this, an article from 2007 warns of SARS-CoV viruses in Southern China qualifying the situation as a time bomb ;

I’m gonna copy and paste what I’ve written on an earlier thread that got locked:

Just a PSA to everyone, now is not the time to brag how immune you are. You are risking the lives of many people so please stay at home, and if you really need to buy necessities like food or medication, don’t bring your entire family outside just to buy those. Don’t be that asshole who will shout at a cop for politely asking you to return home because you brought three other family members in your car. You’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem!

You can do stuff at home like play with your dog, watch that Netflix series (sorry 480p Netflix in Europe, we in Asia still get 1080p and 4K), read those books, learn how to cook, workout using your body weight, whatever to take your stress away.

Also right now is not the time to be disgusting because so wash your hands for 20 seconds before rinsing and for the love of god, take a bath everyday regardless of your weather condition. No evidence shows that antimicrobial soaps are more effective than regular bath soaps so it doesn’t matter what brand.

@Mahbub I suggest you read up on COVID-19 on the CDCs website.  If you're truly concerned about the packaging give it a wipe with a Clorox wipe.

Should've included links to the tweets you were referring to so people didn't have to go digging through the garbage dump that is Twitter to find them...

I've noticed quite a few rude comments directed towards fans from Jay on Twitter over the past few months so this doesn't surprise me. Last month he tweeted saying he was going to stop posting personal comments to twitter and only post updates about the channel and videos due to the negativity, but it doesn't seem like he's stuck to that.

My advice would be don't get caught up in twitter drama. If you don't like his comments then just unfollow him on Twitter and move on. Not worth the time or effort getting involved in such petty problems.

    .... So?
My PC doesn't have a dedicated soundcard and everything sounds just fine. Is this video about the news XBOX having an audio processor or something?
Really, I don't see a big deal in this..

EDIT: just to be clear, most people use 3.5mm headsets connected to their controller (because that is what Sony/Microsoft forced upon console players), a simple speaker set or their TV speakers. Even those home theater users will have a receiver and will be using optical audio. The sound is already good from consoles, no need for a dedicated audio card. I would rather them upgrade all the other stuff.

I learned a good amount of english playing games with english audio and english subtitles on. I watched a lot of series or movies in english as well, but usually those didn't have subtitles. I believe hearing the language you are learning while reading it at the same time is a huge benefit.

Suzaku reacted to Alex Atkin UK in I have a suggestion for Sony?
    So many reasons:
Having more than a few combinations of hardware defeats the whole point of a console as developers can no longer optimise to a set hardware spec. The CPU and GPU are a single chip with unified RAM of a type you can't buy on a DIMM package.  A lot of design goes into balancing the CPU and GPU access to the RAM so they do not excessively bottleneck each other.  Changing either, upsets this balance and the hardware is literally cutting-edge this time so not much scope going forward anyway. How would you cool a better chip if the entire cooling system is designed with tight tolerances for what it comes with? (again, to save money) With all that in mind, you'd have to upgrade so much you're basically buying a new console anyway, so just releasing a faster model makes more sense. People who buy consoles do so because they want it to "just work".  Few people even upgrade their consoles HDD let alone anything more complex. Plus as already said, if that is something that you are interested in doing, why wouldn't you just buy/build a PC? PC's by and large are a bit of a hack.  A huge amount of power is wasted due to the modular design.  CPU, GPU, RAM, these are all things that are actually less efficient on a PC because of the need for them to be socketed.  When you can design a motherboard with much shorter traces because the parts are soldered, it increases efficiency (less heat and power consumption) and decreases cost.

Unified memory itself is really efficient, because you don't have to constantly copy the same data from system RAM to GPU RAM.  But it can only work well because of the careful balance during design in how each component accesses that RAM.

I suggest checking the reliability monitor or the event viewer. Last time I had a problem like this, it was because my HDD was damaged but not completely dead, even at this point it keeps working. It was only noticeable because the OS was in a different drive and only happened while playing games using the HDD. The drive did not show any SMART errors but as soon as I ran a short DST, it showed the error.

Suzaku reacted to GER_T4IGA in Realtek vs Intel networking.
People who prefer their devices to work and their drivers to not act up etc etc tend to go with intel. If you are concerned with being spied on via network card just use a firewall and monitor traffic. I doubt you will find anything.
I would also question what you will run on it. If you're going to say Windows I am out of here because that would be double standards at its finest.

Not gonna lie that's some real tinfoil-hattery. Believe me if Intel was installing spyware in their NICs the Internet would tear them a new a**hole. They're already in hot water over all their CPU vulnerabilities.

Generally from what I've been told and experienced  Intel NICs are "superior" (open to dispute) to Realtek. I've heard many people have trouble with RealTek in the past, myself included (back in the XP/Win7 days) while Intel was just plug'n'play. They're better supported on Windows with I imagine more advanced features.

But if it worries you that much you can opt for RealTek. I have not heard complaints in recent years.

right now id go for a pair of logitech z906, yes they are 5.1 not 2.1 but you cant beat them imo. they go for like 100 bucks used here and with 500w and a 165w sub plus they are actually thx certified for the money i cant figure a better setup. brand nnew they are like 230 around here

for 2.1 id take the either the z623 or z625 depending on if you want optical audio in or which ever is cheaper to come by

if it has to be the absolute budget. id go fo a pair of logitech z4 still, i know they dont make them anymore and the numbers arent that impressive but you can pick up a used but good condition pair for like 40 bucks or less here and mine have always served me very well. still love them but obviously they couldnt keep up once i upgraded to teufel consono.

Opera's PiP (Picture in Picture) was the first on market, but now Firefox also has it and it works pretty well. It lacks progress bar, but it works the same way in general.

I can see use in CPU and memory limiting when it comes to lower end systems where limiting matters because you don't have tons of cores and RAM to throw at it.

In general, I actually like the regular Opera, it's one of rare browsers where I only need 2 extra extensions. The rest is all built in, like add & tracking blocking, mouse gestures, powerful cookie control that also syncs rules across ALL synced systems, super useful currency and unit conversion just by highlighting etc. What I hate is how they have NOTHING on iOS that can sync. All you get is Opera Touch with its stupid My Flow thing, but but no bookmarks syncing. I mean, come on, whole point of browser on phone is to have access to ALL your bookmarks from PC. Without that, what's even the point of using Opera? I can just run Safari (or any other browser) and have same clumsy experience.
