  1. A later bios states 'Improve memory compatibility' but also ses *ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if Pinnacle, Raven or Summit Ridge CPU is being used on your system.
  2. I am sure yes. 'save changes and exit' I am able to clock it to 2666 once it has reverted back to default. Just can't get it to the advertised speed. could it be a bios issue?
  3. Correct, I thought setting it to xmp and 3200 is basically overclocking it.
  4. I have yeah. But what should i be looking for there?
  5. Hey, my ram wont run at 3200. -Steel legend b450 -Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x 16GB) 3200MHz DDR4 (CMK32GX4M2D3200C16) -2700x -gtx 770 I went into bios, turned on profile 2 xmp, on restart I get 4 beeps then another 4 then 1 then it boots and reverts back to default. I can use upto 2666. I would guess my motherboard is the limiting hardware, but just wanted a second opinion. Thanks.
  6. Hey. So i just upgraded my gpu to a vega 64. Updated the display driver, and everything worked fine. But then i ran 'driver easy' to scan for out of date drivers. It found around 10. After updating them all, i am experiencing a very prolonged splash screen. It does boot eventually, after about 10 mins tho. Any help would be great. Thanks
  7. No, the board arrives tomorrow, just thought i'd ask. Apparently if you buy it from amazon it comes with an updated bios. But i bought mine elsewhere, where in the q&a people have been told they need to update.
  8. The board advertises as ryzen 3000 ready. I've started the process of returning it now. And have purchased an alternative. Thanks for your help.
  9. Hey. Iv'e read that you can update bios using a flash stick. Can only find a tutorial with an msi board, in which he renames the bios file accordingly (msi) Iv'e purchased an ASRock B450 Steel Legend, that apparently needs an update for ryzen 3000 before use. I assume the process is similar. Can you help me with the steps i need to take, If it is indeed possible? Thanks
  10. No. I've taken apart and reassembled once now. Checking everything I can. I'm a bit suspicious about the motherboard. Could a dead board possibly be the result?
  11. I've unplugged and plugged back in a few times from the motherboard end, and checked they were firmly in. Haven't done the PSU end (hard to access) cos I literally just removed my old motherboard, which powered up fine.
  12. No I mean absolutely nothing happens. No lights no fan spin. Nothing
