  1. That’s what I thought but I wanted to make sure. They are on amazon for $196 and free shipping Thenks for the help
  2. Is there anything about this that wouldn’t be a good deal for $200? like are the motherboards, coolers or anything crazy expensive? Also would it be a waste for a mainly gaming computer with some hobby graphics work.
  3. Well I'm definitely not going to get the Originc PC I entered to win since they suddenly decided to exclude my state from the contest.
  4. Thanks for the replies. It's been so long since I've looked at anything related to putting together a system I'm having to learn what everything is.
  5. I entered a couple contests to win a desktop but I'm not going to hold my breath for that. I also am trying to see if anyone wants a badly drawn pet portrait for $5, so if I can get a couple hundred of those done I could build something decent Also are people paying for old computer parts that would make it worth trying to sell them on ebay? I have some 10 and 12 year old computerparts lying around. Are the Ryzen 1600 and the GTX 1650 pretty old also?
  6. Edit - Thanks for the replies and this post can be deleted since it looks like I'm stuck with what I have. Hello, I currently have a "Gaming" / general use PC that I put together in 2012 before my daughter was born and before I became disabled. I am at the point now I can hardly play any games except on very low settings. And a friend wants me to get into VR with him and wants to loan me one of his VR setups. My current system is this : Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-970-DA CPU : AMD FX-6100 with a Cooler master Hyper 212 EVO cpu cooler (which blocks 1 of my ram slots) RAM : 8 GB (2 x 4) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz GPU : PNY NViidia GTX 750 ti 2 GB PSU : 500 w (Can't remember he brand) Storage I use a couple older HDDs that are mechanical All of this is in a Cooler master HAF 912 case My original plan was to try and use $1000 of my wife's income tax and build a new computer but life decided otherwise. I was wondering if flashing the BIOS on my motherboard to allow for an FX-8350 and getting a newer graphics card would help any or would it not be worth it and I should just try and shoot for a build next year?
