    I was thinking about using a USB adapter, HOWEVER, it turns out my issue is worse than I thought... I fried my USB ports too, I have no idea how, but there is no activity on either port.

    Long story short, I thought an input on another device was an input, it wasn’t... it was an output........

    Long story short, I accidentally sent 12V DC through the headphone jack on my MacBook Air. I am pretty sure I fried some components regarding audio because the audio device doesn't even show up anymore, and when I plug in headphones it's a repeated clicking sound. I can't raise or lower the volume either, whenever I try it just shows the prohibitory icon. Yes, I have restarted the Mac, no success. Someone help!
