  1. Let's start by saying that I don't care about warranty, since removing the sticker doesn't void your warranty, as per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. What I care of instead is the health of my SSD. Mounting the EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink is bad for your NAND memories as they need 40°C to operate properly according to JEDEC, but it's good for your controller. The thing is, I cannot simply put the thermal pad on the controller only, since that would create a non-uniform surface for the aluminum heatsink. But maybe I can get better results by just keeping the thinned copper layer sticker Samsung puts on top of the NANDs to spread the heat across the memories. I think that placing a thermal pad on top of a heatspraeder should technically prevent the NANDs to operate at less than 40°C, thus resulting in better longevity for the SSD. tl;dr: thermal pad on top of a thinned copper heatspreader instaed of having it directly in contact with the memories and controller should be a better solution overall, what you think?
