You guys are awesome! Thanks so much! I found some technical details online. I might need to use a single lane PCIe gen 1, which would give me a peak throughput of 250 MB/s, I'd probably sustain 100 MB/s on that. I really appreciate your responses. Especially kokosnh. Above and beyond.

Has anyone experimented with a single lane SSD? I'm curious if I can get 100 MB / second read from one. Just think how many SSDs you could connect if single lane was fast enough. I think all you have to do is tape off three of the lanes on the SSD. I'm thinking about trying this.
