  1. Well I made the swap a couple hours ago and everything seems to be working fine. Thanks again everyone for the help.
  2. Thanks again for all the advice. I'll probably just swap it out and maybe do a budget build with the 3400G.
  3. Thank you for the help. My daughter wants to start streaming a little and my thinking was the extra cores would help with that. I'm new to this so am I wrong?
  4. Built my first PC last month with Ryzen 5 3400G, I've since added a 1660 Super. here is the question, I couldn't pass on the Ryzen 5 2600X sale at MC so should it just be a simple swap? Motherboard is ASRock B450. Just a little nervous since everything working fine right now.
  5. Thank you. That's a relief not to have to double my motherboard budget or limit my GPU options in the future. I'm totally new to this and appreciate the information.
  6. Ok thank you. I thought I would need a 570 board which kind of kills the budget part of the build.
  7. So I've been planning my first build for about a month. Wanna do a $500 budget build starting with Ryzen 5 3400G and adding GPU later. I noticed the 5600XT needs a PCIE 4.0, Am I correct these need a 570 motherboard and not compatible with B450 PCIE 3.0?
