  1. I'm looking for suggestions regarding a case that comes ready out of the box for vertical gpu mounting that doesn't place the card right up against the glass like my current case, the 275r Airflow. The case would need to support 1x360mm rad and have good cable management. It doesn't need to come with a riser cable, I have that. Thanks for everyone's input, I'm really going in circles right now trying to find something.
  2. I'm running everything in a Corsair 275R Airflow case with 3 fans input, 3 fans output. As for how the 3700x runs right now, I run at around 75 under load, and around 60-70 when gaming. I'm only cautious because a lot of vendors are saying "needs water cooling" or something of that nature in the listings for the 5900x and 5950x. I appreciate the feedback. I love my rig and Im super cautious about keeping it balanced and under control temperature wise.
  3. I'm looking to upgrade from my 3900x to the 5900x and I'm concerned that my cooler may need to be upgraded. Is the NH-U12S in a push pull config enough cooling for the Ryzen 9 5900x?
  4. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'll be buying a Ryzen 9 3900x this Tuesday when the Mobo arrives. Should be a great rig with my 2070 super. Cheers!
  5. I've been looking everywhere for a reasonably priced x570 board. Newegg just happened to have them when I checked. The backordering on parts right now is crazy.
  6. I recently purchased an Asus X570 Tuf gaming Mobo and was wondering if it would have any issues running a Ryzen 9 3900x? The board has 12+2 power (whatever that means). I just don't want to over load the capabilities of the board. Thank you for any information.
  7. Will a Ryzen 9 3900x run ok on an Asus Strix B350f motherboard? If I do not plan on over clocking?
  8. You may want to invest in some good thermal paste and try reapplying. Also, try setting the fans to a more aggressive setting on the CPU fan. Even with the stock cooler, those temps seem high.
  9. I recently upgraded from an Ryzen 7 1700x to a Ryzen 5 3600x. One thing I've noticed is a temperature increase from how the 3600x boosts continuously. I'm seeing idle temps around 30-35c and gaming temps around 50-55c. I currently am using a Noctua NHU12s and considered it a pretty decent air cooler. My question for everyone is whether I should invest in a 240mm AIO? Would it do a better job of keeping the temp spikes down? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Sounds like a bad MOBO. Possible bad VRM or something else. Sounds like you need a new mobo unfortunately.
  11. Run. Run fast and hard away from that card. It's HORRIBLE.
  12. Simply swap out the cards, and reinstall proper drivers. If you run into any issues after that, you may need to do a "DDU" on the old driver. But you can worry about that if it happens. Congrats on the new (to you) card!
  13. First specs: ASUS b-350f Strix Mobo Ryzen 7 1700x 16gb Corsair LPX Vengeance CL15 ASUS RTX 2070 Super Dual 8gb I recently got a new 275r case and redid all of my fans to ARGB to give it some flair. However, I am having trouble with the RGB on the side of my 2070 super. I can't change the color at all from the stock setting. The option to install the Aura software through the Tools tab in GPU Tweaker is grayed out for some reason. I tried installing it from Asus's website but the only option AURA lets me change is the RGB on the mobo. Has anyone had trouble with this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am out of ideas and it's really annoying to have one piece of your build clash with the entire setup.
  14. For a PC that is used almost exclusively for gaming (mostly AAA), which processor would be a better performer? Assuming all other parts are equal.
  15. Thanks for the recommendation. I definitely want to upgrade the Mobo as I'm already a generation behind in terms of what it can handle. Im guessing short term I should get an m.2 drive and long term a new Mobo. Thanks again!
