  1. They're not dead. The link embedded isn't correct. The link they have is this: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/samsung-germany-rma-suggests-drilling-or-smashing-the-ssd-with-a-hammer](https://www.tomshardware.com/news/samsung-germany-rma-suggests-drilling-or-smashing-the-ssd-with-a-hammer What I'm guessing is they forgot the closing parenthesis.
  2. The only thing other than switching to Linux (other than not being able to play Forza on PC) is the seemingly lacking support for HDR related things such as 10 bit colour. There seems to be some support planned with Wayland or even partially implemented while Xorg doesn't seem to even plan on implementing HDR.
  3. In regard to not being able to control the monitor's parameters on Windows due to the lacking OSD, have you tried using any DDC/CI software (such as ClickMonitorDDC) to control it? It seems that DDC is a standard developed by VESA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_Data_Channel) for the purpose of controlling monitors through software. I control my monitors like this and I can adjust the varies colour profiles supported amongst other settings that are usually cumbersome to adjust through the OSD compared to using ClickMonitorDDC (which is what I use but there are others).
