  1. Thanks I was using Rufus to create a bootable USB MBR mode for windows 10 -> just wasn't liking it, I sorted it by creating a bootable windows 7 -> installing this then upgrading to windows 10. Ugh im sure there was an easier way but i made it.
  2. I can't get my MoBo to boot any drives - formatted for legacy bootable windows usb but its not having it just stuck on flashing curser - any ideas??
  3. Okay here it is @gal-m put together from spares lol - was also trying to ram a cool master V10 in there haha. didn't fit. I can't get my SSD to boot now so just working on that.
  4. Yeah man Ill put a picture up of the build when done, just dragging it all out the cupboard the now

  7. Budget (including currency): 800 Country: uk Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: FPS Games, COD example Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Looking to buy the below PC: https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/gaming/pc-gaming/gaming-pcs/lenovo-series-3-gaming-pc-intel-core-i5-gtx-1660-512-gb-ssd-10207934-pdt.html will thus run warzone for example at high settings at or over 100fps easy? also a side note the only reason i am looking to buy is because I cant find any graphics card on amazon was going to build my own to see if that would be cheaper.
  8. Hi all, Okay so i watch Linus video's a lot, I am tech fuelled and really passionate about all software and hardware tech!! I am a self taught developer with a good steady job, I regularly mod systems and software just to cure boredom and weekends mostly. This is my life and I would Imagine there is a lot of people here that's the same, I would love to see more relatable content or a side channel/sub with relatable average consumer content. Its just a bit posh, I love watching but realistically the tips, suggestions advertisements are completely useless to a working family man. I would love something directed more towards the general. what you all think?
  9. Hi, so linus done a video on setting up a VPN, also along with the documentation on the forum. I followed this yesterday and managed to setup successfully. Today i have spawned a bigger server but i cannot get it working, i have tried CentOS, Debain, Ubuntu they all cant install the pritunl repo. On centOS i get this error pritunl/primary_db FAILED https://repo.pritunl.com/stable/yum/centos/7/repodata/dc74a5f67d05e977967caad0fc34ba38a7c9df152d51d42017558cd40f2368ea-primary.sqlite.bz2: [Errno 14] HTTPS Error 404 - Not Found Trying other mirror. To address this issue please refer to the below wiki article https://wiki.centos.org/yum-errors If above article doesn't help to resolve this issue please use https://bugs.centos.org/. pritunl/primary_db FAILED https://repo.pritunl.com/stable/yum/centos/7/repodata/dc74a5f67d05e977967caad0fc34ba38a7c9df152d51d42017558cd40f2368ea-primary.sqlite.bz2: [Errno 14] HTTPS Error 404 - Not Found Trying other mirror. https://repo.pritunl.com/stable/yum/centos/7/repodata/dc74a5f67d05e977967caad0fc34ba38a7c9df152d51d42017558cd40f2368ea-primary.sqlite.bz2: [Errno 14] HTTPS Error 404 - Not Found Trying other mirror. Is there repo down? On Debian i get an error like seize is different. any help appreciated
  10. I have an issue :/ - I have it all setup and connected but after a while it just doesn't work or load any webpages.
  11. Reset CMOS and you should be golden, Here is an artical since you can't boot look at options #2 and #3. if none of these are compatibale to your board just have a google and it will show you how https://neosmart.net/wiki/reset-bios-cmos/
  12. Does not boot atoll?? can u get back into the bios to lower the settings? If not you'll need to reset cmos.
  13. Ah Sorry i don't have any video or know. If you defiantly can't change provider follow these steps below to see if it helps. 1. Enable Caching on your site - I have included an artificial from Wix on how to enable this https://support.wix.com/en/article/caching-your-sites-pages 2. Host images else where - Since the server speed is limited host your images via google and just use the image src attribute to link to that image. https://www.labnol.org/internet/embed-google-photos-in-website/29194/ 3. Compress all Javascript and CSS Code (Make sure to keep a local backup of the uncompressed version or know how to decompress when u want to do any changes). https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/tips-tricks/how-to-minify-your-websites-css-html-javascript 4. (Optional) Review the java script library's you have included. If you have included a whole library to just have one function from this just isolate the function from the library and include in your scripts tag
  14. By choosing a developing country as hosting this would give you great deals and savings as everything would be cheaper. But thus also means slower transfer speeds. You will also need to be aware of who your audience is and where there based i would spawn a server somewhere else. Pay more. 90% bounce rate is crazy.
  15. Woops just noticed that lol. @thekingno001 Evan at the cheap free servers there isn't much to much heavy content. Have you included a lot of third party library (JavaScript ETC?). One thing you could try is compress any css or js code. Another thing would be download your site in offline mode and open it up in a browser if it loads straight away then i would say its wix's problem and u should probably leave or upgrade. A good recommendation would be to use AWS Lightsail. they are good for site's like these and cheap. have a look : https://aws.amazon.com/lightsail/
