  1. Found this table in the manual and have no clue what it is trying to tell me. I must be getting old. *edit* The SSD is indeed plugged into the 1st sata port which effectively turns of at least one if not the rest (5) from recognizing any drives. Question: Is there any difference concerning performance when dealing with different sata ports on this motherboard? If so, which port other than the 1st should I plug it into? Msi.com and the manual are of no help at this juncture.
  2. I'm not even sure about the ssd being m.2...this is all new tech to me
  3. I am losing what's left of my mind. I just recently built myself a new pc since my Alienware (I had the money, then) is now 10 years old. I will do my best listing the components in my new build. CPU = i5 9600k RAM = 16GB (8+2) 2666 GPU = AMD RX 580 8GB Storage = 1TB Samsung 860 Evo PSU = EVGA 750 watt 80+ Gold Now for what is giving me a massive headache. Only the primary drive (the samsung ssd/boot drive) is being recognized in both the bios and the device manager. I have tried installing a (internal) Western Digital Black 2TB and another at 4TB. I have also tried external drives that use the usb 3.0 interface. None of these drives will appear in any way, shape or form. I think I have tried 5-6 different hdd/ssd and still only the boot drive is the only one being recognized. I am currently going through the MSI FAQ section which is 60+ pages of 20 topics per page to try and find a solution (MSI Customer Service is incredibly hard to find and contact. Still trying on that front as well). If I do find a fix I will immediately post my success here. If you have any questions for me, I will be checking this post VERY often! Thank you for your time *Currently reading mb manual since I am not fully knowledgeable on m.2 / ssd / nvme interactions with the mb*
