  1. LMAO... Gotta "love" spell checker changing it from aesthetic to atheistic...
  2. OK, thanks everyone! I guess I'll have to wait for the ASUS Z790 ProArt motherboard to come out and see what it all has... I am looking to pair it with G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR5 5600/6000 - 64 GB Would like to run 4 sticks - purely for aesthetic reasons.
  3. No, you would have to use 2 exact same kits - with the exact same frequency and timings... correct...?
  4. OK... so if you don't overclock - then the 4 sticks of DDR5 will run at their stated frequency... 5200, 5600, etc...?
  5. So, I know that running 4 sticks of DDR5 with an Intel 12/13 gen CPU does "something" vs. running just 2 sticks... But, what exactly is the "problem"...?
  6. As far as I know there are still no DDR5 kits being manufactured (from any manufacturer) with 4 sticks - the maximum kit is still only 2 sticks. I don't quite remember the reason - but I thought it had something to do with the 12th gen Intel not being able to....?
  7. Anyone know if Intel's 13th gen CPUs will be able to run 4 sticks of DDR5 - unlike the 12th gen...?
  8. Everyone keeps talking about the new DDR5 memory, etc... What are the real world differences between 3733 MHz DDR4 and 4800/5200/5600 MHz DDR5 memory...? How noticeable will the differences be...? Thanks!
  9. LOL, well... I thought that it very well could be just the few times I e-mailed them... Or was wondering if it is a common occurrence with everyone...
  10. Is Cooler Master sales / customer service / technical support - terrible...? Seems like every time I have e-mailed them over the last many years - no matter what the concern was: sales, customer service, technical support - it always takes several follow-up e-mails sent by me over a period of many days/weeks to get a reply. Every time I have e-mailed Corsair or Phanteks - I have always received a response the very next day - a very few times, two days later at the latest.
  11. So these are our choices for the rest of 2022 and 2023...? I highly doubt that Intel has (or will) fix the problems with its bad LGA 1700 socket in time (if ever...?) for the release of the new motherboards that are undoubtedly already manufactured. And the new Ryzen Zen 4 CPUs with all of their undoubtedly first gen problems...
  12. That's what I was afraid of... Thanks for the reply!
  13. Liking the look of the Fractal Torrent case - and wondering how much of it is plastic...? Thanks!
  14. As far as the Intel i7-12700 and i9-12900... Do they both produce the same amount of heat at the exact same workload...? Or will the i9 produce more heat no matter what...? Thanks!
  15. So if you were to work more with videos/photos, etc... more than gaming - the 3060 would be the better card for you...?
  16. Just wondering what the exact differences were between the RTX 3060 and RTX 3070 - in layman's terms... And when, if ever, the 3060 with its 12 GB of memory would be better than the 3070 with its 8 GB. Thanks!
  17. Oh, I have a very good idea of how to start and actually build it - after having watched so many YouTube videos and reading so many posts in here, etc... But, again, actually doing it is different from watching others do it on YouTube. It's more... I've never done this before and if parts in it don't work - then what do I do...? I really like the idea of building something of your own - making it your own - kind of like building a piece of art... But, like someone said - I have everyone in here to help - for advice or if there is a problem - so that is a HUGE plus.
  18. Budget (including currency): $3,000 Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Music production, photo/movie Other details NA Well, like I said, I am looking at becoming a first time builder. I have read a lot on this site and have watched a lot (200+) of YouTube videos from LTT, JayzTwoCents, Paul's Hardware, etc. Every time I put my parts list together (pcpartpicker.com) – I just get a very uneasy feeling of “what if…” I have never done anything like this before. Of the 6 PCs I have owned over the years, I have always only bought HP’s and a Dell directly from their websites. If there ever was a problem, and luckily that was very rare, I contacted either HP or Dell and was told how to fix it. Now, if there is a problem – who do I contact? I won’t know if it’s a motherboard problem – a memory problem – an AIO cooler problem –a PSU problem – a CPU problem – a GPU problem…, etc… And then I have to contact several different manufacturers to try to fix the problem – Intel, G.Skill, MSI, Seasonic, Nvidia, etc… When before, I just needed to contact one place – either HP or Dell. And if it is a motherboard problem - I have to take apart everything and send the motherboard in..., etc... And then how do I know which parts work well together…? From reading this site and watching the YouTube videos – some parts, like CPUs, motherboards, or memory, don’t always work well with each other… I really would like to do this… but WOW… Any input (encouragement, lol) would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
  19. Thanks! You mean like this...? https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-2x16GB-Desktop-Memory-CT2K16G4DFRA32A/dp/B08C4LXXCJ
  20. If you have an HP computer and the specs say that it is a Stark (HP's name) motherboard ( https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c07119829 ) and "Supports up to PC4-23400 (DDR4-2933)" It is totally fine to take out the installed memory and put in new DDR4-3200 memory - because it will be downed to 2933 - correct...? Or will the higher spec'd RAM be a problem at all...? Thanks!
  21. RTX 3060 has 12 GB of memory - 3070 has 8 GB...? What am I missing...?
  22. DDR5 - is there ANY advantage to using 4 sticks instead of 2 - other than looks...? I have seen one of Linus' YouTube videos where he says that using (2) 32 GB (64 GB) sticks of RAM - instead of (4) 16 GB (64 GB) of RAM is easier on the CPU's memory controller...?
  23. Well, I didn't know if it was a year-to-year, gen-to-gen thing... If the new year's/next gen's i7 was equivalent to last year's i9... Etc....
