So i just need someone to tell me an honest opinion, theres a pretty good deal on this monitor and i can snatch it for 220usd + warranty and i was wondering if you guys would recommend this monitor, it has an ips screen and 144hz, its within my budget and its in my local store, by the way im not too crazy on reaponse time but i do want my games to look good, only gripe i have is that the blacks on VA look much better and the colors looks more vibrats which i do like, but if thats the only trade off ill take it, thoughts?

I just tested it out so when my pc is off the db monitor shows 23 to 25db in my room and when my pc is turned on with no apps running its 30-34db from where i sit, 15 minutes of gaming(fortnite)show same numbers. Maybe it gets just all tiny tiny bit louder when gaming for a lot longer but its around that mark. Is that considered silent? Will the HDD be heard in my PC? -

Sounds good i might consider that, just one last question, i lost the little tray where the HDD was suppposed to stay in my pc case, can i just leave it inside or will that not be good for the drive like that -

Even if i dont do any work that require any crazy transfer speeds or whatever? I just want to game and download movies and stuff, and maybe some light work like coding but nothing too much. Is the evo that much more reliable? -

Oh you are right ill check my normal room sound levels and ill get back at this, but i think it was around 30db when nothing was on and silent. Ill have to double check though. I have a cpu fan and gpu fan which get pretty loud when gaming but thats to be expected i guess, i just dont want it to be noticable you know? -

Thats the problem i like to think my pc is sillent but my noise measuring app on my phone says otherwise, when its just on and im not doing anything intensive i put my phone next to my pc case and close to it and says 40db when im gaming you can deff hear the fans a lot more and goes up to 50db, not sure if an hdd would be heard more or less in that situation. -

Hey guys is need some help with choosing a secondary drive for my PC ive decided to get another ssd, i have a nvme ssd currently but it being a 500gb i filled it up pretty easily, my question is in mu country i have a few options available, so i will list them all and tell me which is worth it the most, and would it be better than just getting a 2tb HDD. Main reason i don’t get an hdd is speeds obviously but also noise? I cant remember if HDD are actually that noisy so change my mind on this, my pc is pretty quiet so i dont want any extra noise, anyways the SSD’s i can choose from are: kingston a400 960gb - 123usd Adata SU650 960gb - 136usd samsung 860QVO 1tb - 135usd samsung 860EVO 1tb - 160usd OR just get a seagate baracuda 2TB hdd 7200rpm 256mb cache. For 70usd i am conflicted so i need help, if the HDD during normal operation isnt audible i might go for it but i need your guys help

Thats pretty good what a lucky find i couldnt find that sort of thing forever, last question for today would be if you can tell me between westerndigital 2tb blue hdd and seagate barracuda 2tb green, which one would be a better buy, they are the same price for me.

Yeah that seems to be the most logical thing to do with the rubber padding under the hdd if i put it just on the bottom, but ill try to find a drive caddy like you said.

So you reckon i should just put the hdd on the bottom of the case and it wont make any noise or rattling sounds? I dont care about looks as long as it works properly and makes no noise, heres a pic of the bottom of the case.

So i already have a gaming rig i built a few months ago which at the time i thought a 500gb ssd m.2 would be enough but i soon found out how easy its filled up considering most games take up 50-80gb these days (jesus). So my question is i really like to get as much storage as possible and ofcourse that means a hard disk but 2 problems: 1) im wondering how much sound do HDDs these days produce, will it be noticable while gaming or just in general? My pc isnt a silent build so you can hear the fans but id say its pretty quiet when not under load (30-35db). so im wondering if a hdd makes a lot of noise, also does a 7200rpm one produce more sound than a 5400rpm? 2) second problem is kind of my fault and dumb but when they were building my pc the removed the little metal slot where my hdd supposed to be sloted just so they can route the cables in the case, after that i have no idea where it went, im pretty sure they have it but they say otherwise. Regardless can i just leave my hdd inside and not worry? Or can i just tie it with some wire or something. Other than that i wondered if maybe a 500gb sata ssd is worth it more in my case or should i just go with a 2tb hdd, i really dont want to have extra sounds that i dont want but i still want storage arghhh. Opinions??

No expert here but im pretty sure most if not all intel cpus or atleast the ones on recent years on ddr4 max out at 2993, it should work with faster ram no reason for it to not work but its the point of diminishing return, youll just get maybe 1-3% difference but thats it, and youll pay much more compared to 2993 ram. faster ram than 2993 is recommended for ryzen, ryzen cpus love fast ram the faster the better, they take full advantage.

Yeah that sucks, but i also just learned that the motherboard need to have an addressable rgb header, i have the tomahawk b450 max and it has a 4 pin jrgb header but im guessing thats not addressable rgb? So confusing. All i want is just to have the rainbow effect jeez.

So i was unsure if this was the correct place to ask this but i got the fan connected to the jrgb port on my motherboard and it does work but i cant seem to select the fan individualy to the motherboards rgb, they are synced all the time, any ideas?

So i recently got an after market cooler the cooler master 212black edition rgb and after i mounted it i wanted to see if i overdid it with my thermal paste, keep in mind this is my first time doing this. i used the stock grease that was im the bag the mastergel pro. Should i be worried it falling down to the crack bellow the heatspreader? Or is this normal, i attached a video so see for yourself maybe im just being paranoid. IMG_5676.MOV IMG_5676.MOV
