  1. Do you mean a separate gaming monitor? Lol
  2. So the main use for my computer is photo editing which lead to me using a 4k 60Hz monitor. Since I'm locked in at 60Hz, is there any benefit to game at 1080-107fps over 1440-72fps? I'm already ruling out 2160-39fps.
  3. One of my concerns is the cables running down the back of the motherboard. They don’t seem to hit anything so i l left them in place.
  4. This is my first build and I feel like everything went smoothly except for my cable management. Is this as bad as I think it is or am I just being picky?
  5. @EasonIDontKnowAnything I'll take that as a compliment. I am a photographer so I know a thing or two about getting a nice photo. You probably don’t believe this is my first build either. Lol. Here is a horrible cell phone pic for proof.
  6. @NotABigGamer Well, I made a few changes to my original parts list due to some great deals I couldn't pass up. All it really added was more RGB options. My build is all done now and I have a stable overclock on both my CPU and GPU. I even decided to vertically mount my GPU because my temps have not gone higher than 65c even when under a full load.
  7. It has been 10 years since I purchased my HP Pavilion Elite. Spending the extra money for the Intel i7 980x back then allowed this PC keep up through the years. I do a little gaming but mostly photo editing and am ready to upgrade. My wife finally agreed to a $1500 budget for my build. This is what I ended up with. CORSAIR CARBIDE 275R $70 Intel i7-9700K $340 MSI MPG Z390 Gaming PRO Carbon $193 MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming X $280 CORSAIR H100i PRO $125 Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 1TB $200 CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB $142 CORSAIR CX750M $90 Total Cost $1440 I am waiting on two of the parts that should arrive tomorrow. Then I will post some images of my build. This is my first custom build BTW.
