are you running 4k 60hz or higher on the monitor?

your ideal case is to run display port to your monitor (or even display port to hdmi adapter) and HDMI to the TV, then you can duplicate the screen virtually in your graphics settings and save the headache of splitting signals.

HDMI 1.4 will not be a downgrade unless your monitor is very very new and has HDMI2.0 connectors. everything in the path needs to be HDMI2.0 for all the features to be available, it's likely your monitor is only HDMI1.4 or 1.3 so the TV and the monitor have the same connector. Your graphics card is futureproof for the next generations of HDMI 2.0 4k 60hz HDR TVs and monitors.

The Realtek HD Audio manager will have an option somewhere to let speakers work while headphones are plugged in. There should also be a 2nd option which lets you configure the headphones as independent audio output (so you can configure the audio player to output sound to headphones, and a game for example or any other application/game to default to speakers).

See page 23 in the manual, check the Advanced Settings icon ....

The outputs in the back are configurable, but you can select one of the possible roles (mic, line in, stereo out, sides out, center+sw out etc) ... you probably can't configure two outputs to stereo out.
You can get a stereo splitter/adapter and then plug both speakers and headphones on the same stereo out connector.

No. They are different as one is optical disk and another is seen as physical drive by mobo. Using external DVD drive would still show up as DVD drive.

PSU technology changes. Something that was great back in the day, may not be good today.
4 pin EPS by design does 155W. 95W TDP doesn't necessarily mean it will use 95W of power at the most.
You didn't mention the exact CPU, but let's say it's a Ryzen 5 3600X (the lowest end current Ryzen at 95W). According to Guru3D's review, a Ryzen 3600X under a multicore load will make it so the entire PC will use 155W (so that's including all devices including videocard, which are most idling):

With the 155W from the 4 pin EPS you would be cutting it somewhat close, but it will likely work until you are really pushing the system.

This is the Be Quiet Pure Power 430W, yes? Because as far as I can see, it does have 4+4.
But anyways, not having enough power to the CPU can indeed lead to instability and blue screens or just system shut-offs. I always recommend getting a PSU fit for the PC you're building and not cheaping out on  vital part of the PC.

While you don't indicate the psu age the newest 430W Pure Power model was introduced about seven years ago and has been discontinued.

Given the critical role a psu plays in system stability and longevity I would look for savings elsewhere and invest in a good, more modern psu.

He may have had his cable upside down, but EPS has a pretty distinct pinout.

Sometimes you see power supplies that don't have the second 4 pin exactly like this, but rather with more 'non-square' holes, but that doesn't interfere with anything
