Thanks guys! I agree the M1 Mac meets all requirements with flying colors. I love the M1 as a machine and a laptop, but I use Android and don't feel like getting sucked into apple evo system. I have also been using windows since I was old enough to use a mouse and keyboard . I have to have less than 3 hours total in my life on Macs. I'm not completely against an m1 but I'd really have to think about it, and prolly try one at a store. I will look into the ThinkPads! I will say I use lots of ThinkPads and Lenovo's at my school and have had pretty crappy experiences with them all, but admittedly they are all old, and they were bottom of the barrel performance-wise even when they were new.

Hi, I am about to start college in August. Do not currently have a laptop. Looking at a 1000$-1500$ laptop to last me a while I have had many cheap laptops fail me recently. I do not want to make compromises. I have been eyeing the XPS lineup, and I know they are amazing, but I feel like I can get a bit more for money elsewhere. I have also looked at some of the Zenbook lineup, and a few Samsung laptops and I am having a very hard time deciding. Also wondering if I should wait a month or two for next gen chips in laptops (12th gen Intel, 6th OR 7th gen AMD). Requirements I can think of at the moment: - LONG battery life in realistic use case scenario - 16 gb ram (maybe I'll settle for 12, but absolutely not 8) - at least 6 core CPU - not too heavy, large, or thick (under 3 lb, 15.6 in) - EXCEPTIONAL build quality and busy life future proofing, so basically not weak and thin pot aluminum (looking at you HP) - good brightness, don't wanna have to close the curtains and change chairs to use this thing Please any suggestions or thoughts would be awesome! I'm lost there are so many amazing laptops these days.

It boots now. My friend checked the 5900x and it had a bent pin. He straightened it. My friend ordered more ram that is on supported list and it's on the way.

Motherboard: ASUS Tuf x570 gaming plus wifi (installed with latest bios) CPU: 5900X GPU: Currently rx 580, rtx 3090 is on the way. SSD: Samsung 980 Ram: PNY XLR8 3600 Mhz 4x16gb Computer would only boot with one stick of ram in any slot. Otherwise orange dram error light comes on. the PNY memory is not on the Asus supported list but a lot of times ram works anyway. Reseated CPU to see it it would fix problem and now computer only turns on for 0.5 seconds and turns itself off.

Is that the only way to do it?

I am selling my custom PC with windows 10 installed. If i use the windows settings to "reset this PC" will it keep the product key? And if it does keep the product Key will the person i sell it to simply be able to login with their microsoft account? I would love for it to be that simple, and be able to sell it with windows already installed.

When i try to login to minecraft it does not respond, i try task manager, it does not respond, i try resetting my pc, and still same issues. Also my desktop grayed over the color programs gray over when they aren't responding and my taskbar dissapeared. I am stumped after 5 minutes of troubleshooting. I have tried multiple resets already.

@Cyracus, @Dedayog, @Applefreak, @BrushyYT1 Don't worry, i figured it out thx. I reinstalled windows on one 500 gig SSD and i wanted to put some games on a different 500 gig SSD. I had used to use RAID 0 but it was getting slow and glitchy when initializing RAID when i would boot.

So for instance when u download a game isntaller, it lets you pick where it is going to install, but u have to put it in a program files or program files (x86) folder. This means that I can not install them on my hard drive even tho my laptops SSD is almost full. How would one go about fixing this? is there a way to have a program files folder in both drives?

imo, it looks just as good, but it runs more smoothly and on AMD systems too

yes a lot of people find it odd. I just found many of the ultra realistic packs are too good imo. I know that sounds odd, but everything is still cubes, the packs that try to make it look real just make it wacky. I hope yall understand what I mean.

WOW! I thought mine was bad.. I am using fabric mod manager and API, i am using optifabric, so i have optifine with it. I am also using sildur shaders and a 256 texture pack. I also have ambient sound, and sound reverb
