  1. That was awesome! Here is a link to the Holley Fuel pumps I was mentioning on YT. They flow up to 323GPH at 8psi & 13.8v thru a -10an line VR1 Data sheet VR2 Data sheet Holley Brushless Fuel pumps By the way, I love that Alex has a dislike for the Adjustable nut rounders! (like myself) The video got my like for that part it's self!! If you do this and after it is all said and done, you could send the pumps down to me and I can use them on my project vehicle! LoL
  2. I think surrounding all the components with Ar or Nitrogen would be so much easier. I'd like to see LTT take a empty, clear, pickle bottle, fill it with Argon, then set the cpu cooler in the pickle jar and turn the system on. You might need to have a small constant tube of argon feeding the jar with a small exhaust. (Same way welders back purge when brazing or tig welding.) I would do it but I don't have pure Argon (mix) in my tank right now nor do I have the something like the cooler to get cold. Go on YT or something and search for "back purging in welding"
  3. Shouldn't need to worry about condensation inside a vacuum chamber. There shouldn't be any water molecules for condensation? The seal you chose between the chamber and mobo would be important and possible PIA.... I believe you will still be facing condensation issues. But like they say, you never know until you try, please don't let anyone deter you!
  4. That would be nice! The only problem I see to sub zero daily driving is keeping moisture at bay and doing it economically. Just imagine trying to maintain -273C and all stray subatomic particles and magnetic fields at bay! (Struggle is real for Quantum computing) This is why i believe "Analog" machines are going to stroll right by Quantum. Don't get me wrong, Quantum entanglement has its uses and will be a major roll in the future but Quantum computing stability issues are leg sweeping! LoL
  5. I could imaging this eventually being a complete PC case. Comes with a small window unit. 1. install window unit. 2. Install your PC compnents in the case. 3. attach cooler "fingers" (simular to water cooling) 4. Install side panel 5. Start purging & fill case (slight pressure check for leak) 6. Once verified you can begin. Of course a case like this would be expensive but that would be subjective on how good it works. That's just my idea. There are all kind of variations, I can think of.
  6. I was thinking that in the long run all of the components would be in a sealed case filled with argon. I'm not 100% on how argon chill's but being this type of system has plenty of headroom. I could imagine small fingers branching out to the other components that need cooling. Although I feel like the cpu cooler could chill the Ar in the entire case problem would be making sure you have internal circulation of the Argon. Argon really is safe it's used in great quantities in the industrial mechanical / plumbing trades especially Medgas. You could always use nitrogen! Of course if you wanted to suffocate yourself you could do it but you could also do that with the plastic bag the MoBo comes in......... On second thought,, this is the Tidepod eating generation... {sad}
  7. Well, I for one appreciated the video and the quality insulation job. I can tell you have been speaking to someone in the know about these things. From my knowledge none of this is new as in the earlier Supercomputer days everything was experimented with and that's with government funding! There was a lot of things that worked but deemed inefficient due to service requirements or detrimental to human health. But for a hobbyist that enjoys overclocking and wants to daily drive a overclocked machine these are some fun things to do! Supercomputers need to be stable and once we figured out how to share the work loads with multiple processors the need for super fast single core speeds diminished. As you hinted at, there is a difference between a Workstation and a Gaming system. When I was a kid I always wanted my own Cray lol had a picture of a Cray supercomputer hanging on my wall next to a Lamborghini Countach poster! (Instead I had a room full of 486's that kept it extremely warm.) Wouldn't it be fun to build a modern version of an old school Cray.... Step down into your basement and there is a humming and pulsating Cray super computer!!
  8. First off I enjoy watching these videos and appreciate Linus allowing this type of content creation. It is in my opinion the root of "Hacking" and exploration anyone can do. 1. Have you thought about using PLC to control the AC system? 2. I've thought about the condensation issue some regarding OC in general.... What if you placed a wall around the open test bench, sealed to the desk and a couple of inches / Cm above the tallest point of the test bench. Then pour Argon (Ar) into the walled container until it displaces all of the air. Would this no solve the condensation issue? There is most likely a better gas that's heavier but Ar is cheap and safe for experimenting.

  10. That worked much better, I didn't try hard enough I guess! Found something that might be interesting with the AMD Radeon Software and this RX 5700xt Ann. Everyone else might already know this but,, I tried turning the GPU fan speed down and set temperature up so that it wouldn't use any resources. Then when I tried to run a 'Time Spy' test it started crashing, looked at my GPU temps and they was well below the Stress Test numbers. Crash Peak Temps / Stress Test Peak Temps GPU core: 61/63 Mem core: 82/96 Vram core: 70/81 Vram #1: 59/69 Vram #2: 50/53 Hotspot: 85/87 After attempting to make some runs but seeing it starting to crash I was baffled until I realized that I went into the Fan settings. I went back into the software and Disabled Fan Tuning and now all is well! Did everyone else know that your fan parmeters have an effect on the GPU performance even when there is no fan connected?

  12. I don't know how they intended for these clips to be used, it's very precarious. Yes, the PC is working good now.
  13. Here is what I'm thinking: 1. Reduce tube size 2. Tube & Fin cooler instead of Plate. 3. Create a expansion chamber at the CPU 4. Gear style pump post expansion chamber The whole loop would need to be pressurized. I'm got some nitrous and carburetor jet I'm think that would work good at the inlet of the expansion chamber. The only part I'm unsure of is the gearotor style pump.

  15. The 120mm fans arrived yesterday evening. Managed to get a higher 'Time Spy' score 9548. Once I found the new limit I started detuning the system to get a solid stress test result. Link to Stress Test Results This combo scored a 9523. GPU CORE 63c MEM CORE 96c VRAM CORE 81c VRAM #1 69c VRAM #2 53c HOT SPOT 87c I haven't attached the heatsinks yet.

  17. Tried that and it didn't like it. (Wish I was educated enough to explain myself but I can't find the words.) I'm still waiting on the 120mm fans for the GPU. Have you ever looked at a wind tunnel? If you have, do you remember seeing the big wall of fans in some designs? My line of thinking is a mix of wind tunnel designs and HVAC design. (Take advantage of Venturi effect and minimizing the need for large exotic high speed fans.) (My thoughts on the water cooling was based in the same realm.)
  18. I agree for the give design of this hardware. The only way I could see maximizing that system would be to ditch the water and go to a synthetic and remove all air from the system. I really like those flow sensor's, I bet they are expensive!

  21. I have never water cooled a PC before but I have designed large hydraulic systems and tinkered with automobiles all my life and I have some questions. In the drag racing community, racers would remove the thermostat from the engine cooling system allowing them to circulate water through the engine between rounds using a electric water pump. With the right (wrong) combination they start having overheating issues and are left baffled and frustrated. In these cases the water is moving so fast through the radiator it (water) never gets enough time to shed it's heat (energy / BTU's). Like wise the water flowing through the block is trying to cool down a massive amount of heat but it's never around long enough for the transfer of energy to take place. So what ends up happening is all the water get's heated reducing it's cooling capacity. (heat soaked) How do you solve this you might ask? Restrictor of course.. in place of the thermostat. The restrictor allows the electric water pump to circulate more of the water around the heat source and gives the water in the radiator more time to lose it's energy / heat. Of course the ideal situation would be to re-install the thermostat. ( I feel like this is obvious to a lot of people but I still see people misunderstanding how a heat exchanger operates.) I say all that to ask,,, Does these water cooled systems have thermostats or restrictors because it doesn't appear that they do? If they don't, I'd love to mess around and design a water cooling system! I'm sure there is some certified engineers out there reading this that could throw in some formal words and calculations but I have always been the link between reality & theory for Engineers!!! (Trust me,,, they need me!! I love all the engineers I have ever worked with but every engineer needs a good tech! )

Cooler without the fan works great when not under load: Idle GPU core: 27 Mem core: 36 Vram core: 31 Vram #1: 33 Vram #2: 30 Hotspot: 27 After one Time Spy run w/ Demo GPU core: 84 Mem core: 108 Vram core: 94 Vram #1: 83 Vram #2: 60 Hotspot: 112 Been watching YT and the temps have stayed close to idle temperatures. So,,, the cooler is working good (no gpu fan's) for basic operations. My picture skills are lacking but you get a visual.
