  1. If anyone comes across this thread. I set PBO limits to disabled, my best cores to -7 and my hottest core to -25. The rest i found to be stable at around -15 avg. Temps are fine, max 80 really. Not pushing the CPU to its limits, but the performance is still great and not too hot.
  2. nah i aint going back to air heh. Ive been looking around for people using 5900x and z73, and most are reporting way cooler temps. Might wait for the 5800x3d though which was my original plan, but they are arriving so much later than i expected so i bought the 5900x.
  3. Nono. Stock runs fine, but very hot. And score of around 20k Pbo with negative curves set to -10 seems to run stable and reduce temps by 10c, but anything above that causes crashes pretty quickly. Score for 20,5k. with PPT 200W, TDC 130A, EDC 170A and per core curves adjusted I am getting 22k cb, but the temp is instantly at 90c and stays there for the entire 10min run.
  4. Im not crashing during any test. like core cycler. Im crashing just by using normal programs a few minutes into launching windows, so during low work loads.
  5. This is why im wondering if i should return it. Seeing that i cant go above -11 all core without crashing, and getting temps spiking at 90c with a cooler that should be good enough.
  6. What pbo curve profile are you running with that? And temps during cb?
  7. Pump running at 100% double checked in nzxt cam software. Ambient is around 20c
  8. I did some testing with per core negative curve and entered your values for ppt, tdc, edc. With pbo limit set to disabled i am running around 80c in CB, but when entering your ppt, tdc and edc it jumps up to 90c for the whole duration of the test. It manages 21850 with those values, which is a lot better but too hot (i think?) I tried to reduce EDC to 130 too, and set TDC to 110A, but still 90c throughout the test in CB. All cores were sitting around 4300-4400 during the run. Any tips?
  9. I Will try the per core underclock when i get Home. I have a Lian Li o11 with 9 Corsair fans. I did find with some more testing last night that -12 all core seems to do around 10-12c lower while gaming. -13 all cores is crashing so i Will Try individual cores
  10. I recieved my 5900x today upgrading from a r5 3600. Getting really high temps compared to some others i've seen googling around. With PBO turned OFF idle around 40c. With PBO auto i am ideling aroud 45c. CB r23, score 20048, avg temp 87c With PBO negative curve set to 10 idle around 45c. CB r23, score 20523, avg temp 80c Any negative curve set above (below i guess) -10 causes a system reboot about 5min into testing. I am running: MB: Gigabyte B550 Vision-D (latest bios) CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x GPU: RTX 3080 STRIX OC Gundam edition PSU: ROG STRIX 850w AIO: NZXT Z73 360m AIO Memory: Crucial Ballistix 3600 cl16 - XMP enabled - 4x8gb Case: LIAN LI O11D Fans: 9x Corsair QL 120 (intake bot 3 + 3 side, 3 on rad mounted as exhaust top) My scores seem way lower than what i shuold expect. Temps seem way high, and crashes on too low negative curve pbo. AIO is brand new (3 weeks) and reseated 4 times today. That includes reapplied thermal paste (noctua). I can return it for free for 14 days and buy another one. Should i?
  11. Set a custom fan profile so that its always at 10% minimum and it seems to have fixed it. I was using stock fan profile before and only had the problem when playing wow which used 30-40% of the GPU at max settings. Seems the stock fan profile had the fans start spinning at 50C. Thanks
  12. Why would it then be only making noise at lower RPMs? The fix would be to take it out and try and move the cable a bit?
  13. Hey, does anyone know what this sound is? It seems to be coming from both fans and only happens when my GPU is running at 1% RPM. Asus RTX 2070 super dual - 15 days in use https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcli7TLbLEM&feature=youtu.be
